Impressing..., June 7, 2007
This review is from: Bodum Schiuma Battery-Operated Turbo Milk Frother, Black (Kitchen)
The first thing that caught my eyes was the design. It's sleek and affordable. I've used it almost every day for 1 month now, and it's preforming up to the standard. I use my own rechargeable batteries, which works like those expensive rechargeable frother. My advise, don't get those rechargeable one, they are very expensive. The down for this frother is that there is no instruction of how and where to put in the batteries. Well, you just have to pull out the top of it carefully and insert the batteries. It's that easy.

Bodum Gives Good Head of foam., January 20, 2008
This review is from: Bodum Schiuma Battery-Operated Turbo Milk Frother, Black (Kitchen)
The Bodum Schiuma (whatever a Schiuma is) frother whips up hot or cold milk to pour over coffee, stirs in powders such as chocolate, soups, and protein mixes, and can even get a froth going in an easy margarita one containing equilla with a bottle of liquid mix). WHile Bodum recommends cold milk, I've found it works fine with warm milk too. YOu can ever get a bubbly top with coffee already mixed with milk, although you won;t get that meringue like consistency obtained through whipping the milk separately.
It's a simple appliance, running on two AA batteries, and costs less than the comparable "Bonjour" frother. The Bonjour comes with a stand, and I found this easy to knock over accidently. NO stand for the Bodum, so you'll have to keep it in a clean, airy place if you're making several cups of something. The Bodum has a slightly shorter stirring rod than the Bonjour, but this makes no difference on its functionality (it's how you use it). You can dip it deep inside a liquid for stirring, and/or submerge just the tip at a slight angle for frothing. Experimentation helps keep the froth in the cup and off the walls.
The Bodum Schiuma makes a great (and inexpensive) gift, that your giftees will appreciate, especially those unaware that there's such a device. If you don't already have one, consider buying rechargeable batteries and a battery recharger For close to three times the cost, Bonjour offers a self-recharging model. I use the frother several times a week; it's not just an "ooh" and "awww" mechanism; rather, it keeps on satisfying.

Fast and Frothy, July 19, 2006
This review is from: Bodum Schiuma Battery-Operated Turbo Milk Frother, Black (Kitchen)
This is a quality product that really works. I heat up milk or half and half in the microwave, use the frother, pour in my espresso, and enjoy my coffee. The price is right and it's faster than using my espresso machine to steam the milk.
