I bought several sets in both small and medium sizes a couple weeks ago, and I've already lost two! I saw it coming as soon as I unwrapped them. Not only are they extremely delicate, but they broke into about 50 shards of glass. I'm giving them two stars because they are beautiful and Bodum never claimed they were strong, just heat resistant. But they just aren't worth the price.

.. that didn't break in shipping. they are beautiful glasses but seem too fragile for shipping. about 1 in 5 glasses had broken in shipping.

I splurged and bought eight of these glasses about six months ago, and I now have one left. After the first one broke, I was careful to only hand wash these glasses, and I learned not to use my ice maker directly, as the ice drops into the glass too hard for this glass to sustain. Instead, I put the ice in one glass and then carefully transfer the ice to the Bodum glass. Also, my glassware got cloudy fairly quickly, even though Bodum claims this won't happen.

HOWEVER, in spite of all these issues, I'm going back to buy more, because the fact that these glasses simply don't "perspire" and never need a coaster is such a plus. No more dripping water on my clothes or furniture. Just know what you're getting.
