I have the large Back Buddy, which I like, but it is cumbersome and difficult to take with me. I can easily take this little tool anywhere I go, and can use it while sitting at my desk, reading, etc.

The previous reviewer mentioned that it she thought it might break, but it seems to me to be very sturdy. I have no fear of it breaking from normal use, and I press down pretty hard with it at times.

If you find relief from pressing pressure points, and don't want to have to bother with a huge tool, order this little one. You'll find it both effective and handy to use and take with you.

The only con I find is that the knob is pointed rather than rounded. It's still effective, but I think I'd prefer a rounded knob, like is on its big brother.

An extra bonus to this little gadget is the back scratcher at the other end, which is very effective in relieving an itchy back. :)

I really wanted to like this, as I LOVE the full size BBB and often get pains in my neck and back at work. But it feels too springy, so it's not applying enough pressure. Plus, I can't use it on my inner shoulder blades. Nice to have for certain pains, but I would rather stash a full sized BBB under my desk.

I am hesitant to say anything because for all I know this thing might be really strong and never break.... BUT, the fact is, it FEELS like it is going to break!

I have one of the big "Back buddies" with like 10 knobs on it for massaging various parts of the body, and it is awesome! VERY sturdy and you have no fear of it breaking.

Granted, this is a tiny portable tool, and as I said, for all I know it may be made of some really miraculous plastic that will never break. But it certainly does not give me confidence that it won't break. Every time I use it I expect it to snap as I am digging down into the knots in my shoulders and back.

If possible, I will revisit this review in 6 months and if it hasn't broken by then, I will raise my review to 5 stars, because it IS a nice thing to have with me when I'm away from home, at work, or on the road.

And if it breaks, I will reduce my review to 1 star.

I purchased this at the same time I purchased a larger back massager. I was going to keep this one at home and the other at the hospital where I work. Okay, number one, this product is too small to do any good. Number two, the little nubs are sharp. It actually hurts to use it. I didn't even give it to my favorite charity; I threw it out.

I ordered the Back Buddy Jr. for my mom because she already had the full sized back buddy and needed one that was more compact. She is absolutely obsessed with it! She keeps it in her car so she can use it when there is traffic and she brings it into the hospital where she works as a nurse and all the staff love her for it. She says that the plastic does seem weaker than the full sized back buddy, but does not feel like it will break. The back buddy jr has more of a pointed tip as opposed to the spherical tip of the regular back buddy, but she says she likes this even more.
She loves it so much that we are already ordering her another one.
The only negative comment is that it looks yellow in the picture, but it is more of a creepy "flesh" color. But besides this trivial detail she absolutely loves it.

It's too small and weak. Feels pointless.
The full on back buddy massage cane (which I highly recommend) is MUCH better than this.

This is a GREAT little tool for on the go. I go to school and study quite a bit, so my neck is always and forever getting knots in it. This little handy device can be taken on the go, such as in my school bag and i can use it in between classes! The only thing i'm not too crazy about is that it slips easily over clothing. It would be nice if you could have some sort of anti-slip end to it. Otherwise, NO complaints!

I got this with the larger BBB, and have found this to be much more useful than the larger sized one. I travel a fair amount, so being able to take one with me has been great.

I have found it to be very sturdy, and use the non-pointed end for my neck massage. I can't imagine using it for a back scratcher!

I get huge relief from the Thera Cane Massager and have recommended it to several friends who have thanked me for the recommendation because they, too, are so pleased with it. But, the Thera Cane was too big and too heavy to add to my suitcase on a cruise where the air lines' baggage limit was 50#, and I had lots of other stuff that I needed to pack. So, I bought the Body Back Buddy, Mini. With a little bit of work, I could indeed reach some trigger points near my lumbar spine and hips, but I could not in any way come close to the degree of relief that I got with the Thera Cane. On the other hand, the Body Back Buddy, Mini was light-weight and low-priced, and it fit comfortably into one of the front pockets of my suitcase, so for my trip it was better than nothing...but not a whole lot better.

The tool bends too much and there is no sufficient leverage for it to be effective for me. My wife commented that it looks like it broke and is missing the lower part... That's where the scratcher is... Get Back Buddy instead [...]. That's a wonderful tool.
