I've been looking for something that was low impact but still got my body going. This machine gives you a full body workout from a seated position that is low impact. No back pain!

With the DVD that is included, set up is a breeze. The cardio cruiser is well built and is extremely quite when in use.

This machine may be too easy if you are already in good/great cardio condition, but if you are trying to get back in shape (or have never been in shape), or if you have back problems or weak joints, this machine is for you.

I bought the Body by Jake Cardio Cruiser about 18 months ago for my wife and I to use. Its was pretty easy to set up and doesn't take up alot of space. Its light enough to move from room to room. Using it can be deceptive. It feels so easy and fluid and that at first you feel guilty because it doesn't feel like your really working hard. But it really seemed to work and I liked using the machine. Of course you can't read a book or play video games while using it since you need both hands and legs, but that is a minor gripe.

The one major flaw that really gets to me on this machine is that a pulley is used between the two leg platforms. The first thing I noticed is they began to squeek really loud when I used it. This became quite annoying. Worse was after using it for about 3 months the pulley snapped in two and the machine became worthless. I called and they replaced the pulley and about 4 months after that it snapped again. Its been sitting in my house since then never used.

They may have made improvements since then so take what I say with a grain of salt. If they improved upon the pulley system then I would easily give this machine a 4 or 5 star rating.

I am on my 2nd cardio cruiser. I had one of the original ones and the cable snapped. A couple of years later, while rehabing from a total knee and then a total hip replacement I bought the newer one with the supposedly improved pulley system. I have had it less than a year and again the cable snapped. Will not replace it!!!
