Body Drench Quick Tan Mist

I will never again expose my skin to another tanning bed! I am in love with this product!! I have tried so many self-tanners and, like most other reviewers, was turned off by the orange oompa-loompa look they almost inevitably give. Well, no more! This product gives me a beautiful golden color without a hint of orange. It looks exactly like a suntan is supposed to look! I have extremely fair skin that burns quite easily, so it takes me almost all summer to finally end up with a tan. Now, I don't have to hassle. I just spray it on!! I have used this product for 2 years and will never buy anything else. This is so much better than even the expensive department store brands. Here is my process for a streak-free, never blotchy, always beautiful glow:

1. Shower and exfoliate. Get all the dead skin off or you will have blotches.

2. After showering, pull hair off of face. I use a head band and a pony to keep it off my neck and face.

3. Make sure you are completely dry. If water drips on you after you apply the product you will have drip marks.

4. Apply GENEROUS amounts of lotion to your elbows, knees, top toes, in between toes, tops of fingers and in between fingers.

5. Put on a pair of disposable gloves.

6. Lay a towel down on the floor and get back in the shower.

7. Starting with the back of legs and working up, hold the can as far away from your body as possible (12 inches... no less) Make quick back and forth motions up your body until you reach your butt. Quickly do the outsides of your legs. Doing this quickly is the key to no blotches so only go over each area once. It will feel like you aren't really putting hardly anything on.. you don't need to! If you want a darker tan, you can repeat later.

8. Next, do your shoulders then arch your back to reach it. Again, holding can as far from your body as possible.

9. Lift your arms one at a time to do each of your sides.

10. Lift your chin and starting at your neck, go quickly back and forth over the front of your body.

11. You do NOT need to spray the tops of your feet. TRUST me on this! Enough product is landing there on its own.

12. VERY quickly and holding the can almost completely arms length away, give your face a spray while holding your breath.

13. Step out of the shower and onto the towel. If you have any spots you sprayed too much product on, rub it in now.

14. Lift the edge of the towel up and rub all the lotion off your feet and toes, then your knees, and then your elbows.

15. Take off the gloves and with the lotion still on, hold your hands inside your shower and give them a QUICK one time spray.

16. Rub the lotion off of your hands with the towel.

17. Wait 10 minutes to dress and enjoy your beautiful tan!!

I typically put this on every 2 or 3 days to keep my golden glow. If you want darker, just apply daily until you reach the desired color and then go every 2 or 3 days to maintain.

I am a die hard tanner. Years ago due to an illness, I could no longer tan in a tanning bed or outside. Therefore, I tried spray tanning. It does not work. It streaks, no matter what and is over priced. So, I began my own research and finally found Body Drench Tanning Mist. It dries quickly and does not streak. You can easily fix missed places with by rubbing into the skin. I have been asked by individuals that use a tanning bed, where I tan and when I say out of a Can...Imagine the look.

I'm hooked....By far, it is the best product I have found and believe me, I went through them all....:o)

there is a MAJOR misrepresentation here: nowhere does the product say that this is a TINTED self-tanner. but that's exactly what it is! it is meant to give you an instant color that washes off after a few hours if you take a shower. like the Clarins tinted tanner for legs, for example.

soooo disappointed. i have tried a lot of self tanners, and this one is NOWHERE NEAR even the regular CVS ones like Neutrogena or L'oreal Sublime bronze. i didn't notice any mess as stated by other reviewers, but the worst part of it is that it is so dry that it simply does NOT spread easily over the skin. it was very annoying, i didn't like using it at all. you have to rub and rub and rub! the best way to spread a self tanner is to mix it with some lotion so it covers the skin evenly, especially on the critical areas like the ankles and the wrists. well it is really hard to make this happen with this product, as you always end up with darker spots here and there. and forget about covering your back yourself. i use a Home Depot painting brush with a long handle to cover my back with self tanner, but that one was a hopeless case to use with the brush.

On the other hand, the fact that it is very dry does NOT mean it is quickly absorbed by the skin. Not at all. you need to apply it and wear some old clothes otherwise you will get stains everywhere, even after 4 hours.

the only good thing about it is that it turns dark, not orangy. however the color does not last longer than other products. but hell, Lancome Flash Bronzer Airbrush (THE BEST!) does that and gives you a delicious golden color without all the rubbing, the staining, and the delayed drying. plus i found that one here at a great price. So i am back to it.

in all honesty, i feel ripped off because i think that most positive reviews have been written by people working at that company. i have a hard time believing that a real self tanning junkie can be sooo crazy about such a cheap product. total waste of $. but now you are warned.

I was one of the ones obsessed with tanning until last year. I got smart for health reasons and stopped. I tried a few sunless tanning products last summer but hated them. I purchased this product, not being very hopeful. What a GREAT surprise! This is a really good product, easy to use, smells good and doesn't streak. It does take a little practice but is well worth it. I will definitely be buying more!

I bought this based on the reviews and I didn't end up liking it. I've used many spay tans but this one you REALLY can see on your clothes when you sweat the next two days after using. It left stains on my clothes in a dark pinkish color that i wasnt able to wash out. Also, it didnt give me much color the first time i tried it...you have to do it the next day too and it looked very splotchy on my legs. I know it's kind of an art when it comes to spraying your body right, so i take some of the responsibility if it turned out uneven, but i've still had much better results with other products.

Product gives a glow to my face without looking fake. I received my product in just a few days.

I ordered 5 of the top rated self tanners on the same day. Experimented with them all over a four week period. This was the last one I tried because I thought it would be a bomb since it's a spray. I WAS WRONG!! This is by far the best! Leaves a nice golden, brown tan with no orange at all. Dries quickly and looks natural. Read the other reviewers step-by-step instructions on applying in the shower (good advice). If you get too much anywhere just rub it in right away. I exfoliate with those scratchy gloves and Dove Body Wash on the days I spray. On the days I don't spray I use a large bath sponge with Dove Body Wash. Since this is a spray there is a learning curve, but don't give up. This stuff rocks once you get the hang of it. It's much easier than lotions that take forever to dry. If you make a mistake and get a dark spot, use baking soda and water to rub the spot off...it works!

I have no patience, money, or time to go tan or "get sprayed". Just want a healthy glow without spending a fortune so I tried this and I love it. I took the advice of other users and exfoliated, got 100% dry and then slathered lots of lotion anywhere I didn't want the stuff to get too dark (knees, toes, nail beds, and rough spots of elbows and heels). I stepped back into the shower and covered my feet with paper towels. I did just my arms and legs this go around and worked FAST! Then stepped out rubbed it all in and washed my hands. Then I put one foot at a time into the shower area and sprayed short bursts from about 3 feet up in the air so I could barely feel it hit the top of my foot. Rubbed again with the towel. Then I did lotion all over everywhere I sprayed. This stuff smells like chocolate lip gloss. When I joined the family again my toddler asked me what that smell was and kept sniffing me saying you smell yummy! Will buy this product again soon I'm sure!

Im a makeup artist and I am extremley critical of products and how they hold up. This product rocks! My mother who is always tan per tanning booth was blown away when she saw me. She couldn't believe how natural the tan looked. No streaking at all, granted I layered it but it looked good. Word to the wise, use gloves. The tan sets very quickly and will stain your hands. Also put down a towel it will also stain the bottom of your feet!

This product is by far the best at-home sunless tanner available on the market. I have freckles and overall a fair completion. I use this on my face everyday and it looks 100% natural - I even have all of my friends using it now because they are shocked when I tell them its fake. Everyone knows that tanning beds are awful for your skin and this product sprays on easily and doesn't rub off (unless you have heavy perspiration) and it drys in about thirty 30 secs... Leaving you with an instant tan! I don't care what the bad reviews have to say... They obviously didn't give it a chance or they are just incompetent sprayers. It does typically wash off in the shower (body and face washes take it away, but the brilliant thing about the product, is that you can simply spray it on again in 30 seconds when you're done showering. I highly recommend this product and I am so grateful that Body Drench created it!
