Our family uses this product regularly, and our report after a year is good to great results. The key to this is using about 10-12 ice cubes, 6-8 oz. milk, a heaping scoop of the mix. We use a Magic Bullet, and it is so fast and easy, but you can use a blender. The ice makes it seem like a milkshake or frosty.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad...
I have to agree with the person above. It's not horrible, but it just tastes watery when put with just water, the taste could be better. When put with skim milk or soy milk it is not bad at all. I'm not sure of the benefits quite yet, but I feel pretty good after exercise. I'm sure there are better ones out there though with the taste being slightly better without it...

We've tried more expensive mixes, but with no discernible difference in recovery time or strength gain. This drink has become motivation for us as we as a family work hard to be more fit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Taste and a good deal, April 13, 2008
This review is from: Body Fortress 2lb Chocolate Whey Protein (Health and Beauty)
I really think this stuff tastes great....I've seen other reviews saying it tastes like garbage or is too clumpy...dunno what theyre talking about. I always mix it with skim milk and just mix it with a fork or spoon. It's available for like 12-15 bucks at Wal mart. I'd recommend trying it

Not going to write a long review just wanted to say this is a great protein powder. Simple as that. I have made a lot of strength and muscle gains while losing body fat also and this is the only protein powder I use. I have tried A LOT of them too. Anyway if your tired of spending hundreds of dollars a month on protein powder try this out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well known for being a cheap Good protein powder., November 15, 2008

Any one who knows protein powders and is on a budjet has tried this stuff, it tastes pretty good and mixes fairly easily. It also has a bit of creatine, glutamine, and other good stuff mixed in so you get even more for you money. Its a great basic protein powder and I recommend it to my clients all the time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, July 19, 2010

I bought this at walmart and i must say that the strawberry flavor is crap haha , but chocolate is pretty good...a little gritty but it's good over all. You can get it for $15-17 at walmart depending of a sale but yeah I recommend this to people who are on a budget or just starting off..

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bang for the buck!, March 10, 2009
This review is from: Body Fortress 2lb Chocolate Whey Protein (Health and Beauty)
This product for the price is great.

PROS The flavor chocolate flavor is good, good protein to calorie content, price, branch chain amino acids, creatine

CONS, grainy texture, most likely from the creating monohydrate?

Basically so far this is a good product for me I dont solely rely on this for my protein during the days. First thing in the morning when I wake up I have a muscle milk strawberry shake before breakfast, then about 2 hours later i hit the gym for 45minutes to a hour and then finish the gym up with 2 scoops of body fortres. So far great results.

Two scoops of this product = 40% US RDA of cholesterol.

Almost any other whey protein powder is better than this.

Do your heart a favor and look elsewhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good taste, value, dietary strategy and results, August 20, 2011

I love this product for many reasons.

It's affordable: I use 2-3 scoops twice a day. Since I skip a few shakes a week, one unit often lasts me two weeks. I pay between $15 and $18 for this, dpending on the sales between my local grocery store and WalMart. Walmart typically has the better non-sale price, but has sales less often.

It's tasty: I'm less of a fan of the marshmellowy-undertoned chocolate. But add peanut butter and some yogurt for texture and it's Heaven anyway. I'm a fan of the vanilla. Again with berry-flavored yogurt and, sometimes, a banana. In both cases I also use 12 oz skim milk and 10 oz ice cubes and blend it. Delicious! Really, it can be a treat. The way I make mine it's only 600-700 calories including the two yogurts and the banana and milk, and it satisfies me.

Weight loss: Sometimes I'm not trying to pack on muscle, but rather to lose a couple pounds over the course of a week. These shakes are a good, nutrient rich, satisfying meal substitute. When I'm working out hard and trying to build up, then I'll have some eggs or a mostly-meat meal after.

Even when I'm not working out much because of work deadlines, I still devoutly drink and enjoy these shakes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stuff, June 6, 2011
This review is from: Body Fortress 2lb Chocolate Whey Protein (Health and Beauty)
I just started P90X, and its brutal. I needed the protein drinks and bars, but did not want to pay the high price that so many protein powders go for. Found this at wal-mart a bit cheaper than here. I was worried about the taste because high protein supplements typically taste bad. This one is probably the best tasting protein drink I have tried (Chocolate). I usually mix it with 8oz of skim milk. When using a spoon and glass to mix it, it clumps up a bit. Using a bottle with a mixing ball works out great, no clumps. It has 26g of protein per scoop with only 140 cal. That's a higher amount of protein than most other drinks I've come across. Highly recommend.
