Very great high protein whey powder bodybuilding supplement,
This review is from: Body Fortress 2lb Vanilla Whey Protein (Health and Beauty)
This is a very good whey protein powder. Not only does it contain 100% whey protein, it also contains other supplements which can further enhance results such as creatine, taurine, glutamine, leucine, isoleucine, valine. This product has been regularly advertised in magazines such as Muscle and Fitness for many years.
Each scoop contains a very high 26 grams of protein, 130 calories, 2 grams fat, and 2 grams sugars. There is about 7 grams of BCAA's per 2 scoops. Each scoop is 33 grams of powder and there are about 28 servings per container or if you double scoop about 14 servings per container. The taste is great when mixed with milk. The vanilla flavor isn't so exciting when mixed with water but is still ok. Make sure to blend this in a blender for best taste. Or atleast use a shaker bottle to mix this with your drink, it wont be as good as blended but still ok. I wouldn't recommend mixing this with a spoon because it tends to get very clumpy and wont disolve thoroughly and doesn't taste very good. I've also tried the chocolate flavor and will say that the vanilla tastes better. Results are good while using this product. I have gained many pounds of muscle in a few months. So far all my muscle groups have seen gains while using this product. Don't expect this product to be a miracle powder if you don't do the hard work necessary to gain muscle. For best results use before and after your workouts. Here is the "current" ingredients list: Whey protein blend (whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate), super recovery blend (creatine monohydrate, taurine, L-glutamine, leucine, isoleucine, valine), cocoa (processed with alkali), natural and artificial flavors, soy lecethin, acesulfame potassium, sucralose. *This review was provided using the most current "formula" as of writing. I have been using this product for years and every so often they change the formula.

Great for Recovery!!! I take Optimum Nutrition and Body Fortress,
This review is from: Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Strawberry Supplement - 32 Oz (Health and Beauty)
UPDATE:
I finished the Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein - Strawberry so I bought a large tub of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein. After a week of use, I realize that the Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein is a far superior for recovery with their 'recovery mix' included in their whey protein (Creatine, Taurine, L-Glutamine, etc...). I very much prefer it after work outs to the ON Gold Standard. I prefer the ON protein in the morning and pre-work out. It doesn't have the recovery blend and is much more subtle. Strawberry in both flavors taste decent, the Body Fortress is a bit sweet and tastier than the ON Strawberry but both are fine. They both mix well, the Body Fortress does have a few crystals sometimes, the ON is a finer powder and gets everywhere as find dust. I work out 4-6 days a week depending on fatigue. The results so far are promising just in 4 weeks.. I'm retaining lean muscle, which is especially important after I've started running at least 2-3 miles a day and 4-5 miles on cardio/carb days (essentially every other day)and I've increased strength and already pushing harder after my rest day each week. (you have to put the time and challenge yourself for results). I've changed my daily diet as well to high protein and low carb so realize it takes more than just a protein shake to really get results. I'm taking in carbs in fruits, vegetables, rices and pastas for the low carb part of my diet. The price is good at $15 for 2 lbs if you grab a couple 2lbs tubs with free delivery. I really missed the Creatine, Taurine, L-Glutamine in the Body Fortress blend and had to get it even though I have a 5lbs tub of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard. Conclusion: This is a far superior 'recovery' whey protein/recovery blend for after work outs compared to the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard. I like the ON Gold Standard in the morning and just before I work out.

Honestly, I wouldn't get it again. Its a cheap alternative to other, much better, brands. If you're out of protein, but can't stop by your local GNC or ENC store, and can't wait to recieve a good protein powder online, then you should go get it. Some of the reasons I don't like this is because it has a Lot of fillers, and uses Whey Concentrate instead of the higher quality When Isolate and Hydrolized Whey. Generally, it would be a good product to those who are the absolute beginner. You dont necessarily have to go to GNC, i've gotta admit, they are overpriced. You can get much higher quality at bodybuilding.com, and its cheap, too.

Good For the price,
This review is from: Body Fortress 2lb Vanilla Whey Protein (Health and Beauty)
This is a fairly decent protein especially for the cost. I use isolate after my workouts and Optimum nutrition casein, i usually look for proteins that are high quality and good tasting (But tend to be expensive) but my mom got me this for Christmas so I figured id drink it in addition to what I already take, it doesn't taste bad and is at a good price. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for hard core lifters but it seems like a good economical product for those who want to dip into the huge world of protein supplements.

good product,
This review is from: Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Strawberry Supplement - 32 Oz (Health and Beauty)
I've been trying to lose weight and I've been lifting weights. From the perspective of my workout routine I was doing pretty well and then suddenly I had amazing gains in strength and endurance and fantastic workouts but what really caught my attention was a 6 lb gain in weight which was not what I wanted (I'm trying to cut weight). I did some investigating and I looked at the bottle of the body fortress whey protein I bought two weeks before, turns out it has creatine in it. I didn't plan on starting creatine until later on but I was shocked by how the workouts were going. Cookies N' Creme is the best flavor. I'd rather keep my whey and creatine separate but because of the results in the gym I'm staying on it for now. I recommend it.

Great for lean mass gains and good for weight-loss meal substitutes,

I love this product for many reasons. It's affordable: I use 2-3 scoops twice a day (on workout days). Since I skip a few shakes a week, one unit/tub often lasts me two weeks. I pay between $15 and $18 for this, depending on the sales between my local grocery store and WalMart. Walmart typically has the better non-sale price, but has sales less often. Workout drinks: Pre-workout I'll have 1-2 scoops with extra L-Glutamine (some L-Glutamine is already in the powder) and a few scoops (they-re tiny) of Jacked (a workout stimulating drink). Immediately post-workout, I'll have 2 scoops more with water or milk and more L-Glutamine. It's tasty: I'm less of a fan of the marshmellowy-undertoned CHOCOLATE when only mixing with water or milk. But add peanut butter and some yogurt for texture and it's Heaven. I'm a fan of the VANILLA. With berry-flavored yogurt and, sometimes, a banana. In both cases I often use 12 oz skim milk and 10 oz ice cubes and blend it. Delicious! Really, it can be a treat. The way I make mine it's only 600-700 calories including the two yogurts and the banana and milk, and it satisfies me. STRAWBERRY is my favorite for when I'm cutting fat. It's the only flavor that I can mix with water (and nothing else) without tasting odd. Weight loss: Sometimes I'm not trying to pack on muscle, but rather to lose a couple pounds over the course of a week. These shakes are a good, nutrient rich, satisfying meal substitute--fruit, ice and yogurt make it more filling with minimal caloric additions. When I'm working out hard and trying to build up, then I'll have some eggs or a mostly-meat meal after. Even when I'm not working out much because of work deadlines, I still devoutly drink and enjoy these shakes.

We think its good and Ive been lifting off and on my whole life! My 2 youngest boys think the chocolate is great! I have tasted some that are really nasty through the years and this one is easy on the budget, we use a little personal mixer I bought for 12$ with some milk and it can be a little grainy but believe me its not bad compared to alot out there!
