4.0 out of 5 stars Great for iPhone, October 9, 2008
By
I'm not a big fan of the bluetooth earpieces (for a variety of reasons I won't go into now), so I looked around for a cool iPhone compatible headset with a microphone. The great thing about this is that not only can you answer calls with the button, but you can also use the button to activate the iPod aspect of your iPhone. Sound quality is surprisingly good. Buds stay in my ears and block out a lot of ambient noise. I drive a very noisy old Land Cruiser, and I can hear just fine -- and people can hear me! The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it plugs into my iPhone with an adapter (included), which works just fine, but adds a little bit of unnecessary business to the whole contraption.

2.0 out of 5 stars Works great at first, but it doesn't last . . ., July 13, 2006
This review is from: Earglove Flex Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The one thing worse than having to replace a shoddily built cell phone is having to deal with headsets designed to last only months.

I've used probably dozens of various headsets. I was desperate one day and purchased this model. Everything seemed fine at first, although I did have some minor gripes. The volume control is meaningless, for one. I turned it up to its fullest strength and it was barely acceptable. You'd have to be the Six Million Dollar Woman to be able to use the lower settings.

The manufacturer includes two additional colord soft "tubes" for cosmetic purposes. These are placed on the small arm that stretches towards your mouth. They have no practical purpose.

What they didn't include were additional earpieces which is what you really need. This headset is designed with a small rubber-like earpiece that swivels on the plastic frame. This is for comfort and to better direct the sound into your ear. There's just one problem - this piece falls off! Mine came off several times and I was luckily abie to find it and put it back on. This lasted a few weeks. I've now lost the piece and can't find it. What remains is a hard plastic frame with ridges that hurt your ear. The headset, minus this small essential piece, is virtually useless at this point.

The manufacturer could have solved this problem a couple of ways. One, provide additional earpieces. Two, make it so the thing doesn't fall off to begin with.

Don't waste your money on this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Can't hear, December 18, 2006

This review is from: Earglove Flex Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought this to use with my enV (LG VX9900) and the volume of the earpiece was unacceptably low. The volume on the phone itself is really good at the lowest setting. With the earpiece, however, just sitting at home I had to put the volume up half way just to hear the person I was talking to. If I was in the car I'd have to turn it all the way up and I really had to concentrate on listening. However, no one ever complained about not being able to hear me or hear me clearly.
