These shirts are made to wear surfing. You get a rash on your chest from laying down on your surfboard. They are made very tight, and i mean very tight, so they wont get in the way. If you have ever got an ordinary shirt soaking wet you know how it drapes or hangs on you and it is very heavy. This shirt will not do that. As far as fit, unless your in your twenties or very fit, sadly I am neither, It is probably TWO sizes tighter than what you are used to. That said, a larger size will be the way to go but it will still be a stretch fabric shirt.

Used this item since February 2009. Stitching has maintained its original condition. At first the fit was a bit too tight but it loosened a little to a size which is what I expected.

First of all as it is well known Body Glove Apparel is snug to say the least. At 6'2 and 200 pounds XL is tight, real tight. Get 2 sizes bigger than you usually wear of you will feel like you are trying to put a 6 year old's ballerina costume on a big fat biker..... if you dot mind constriction this is the shirt for you!

Arm cuffs should be bigger, it tends to cut down on circulation just slightly, belly is fine and this will help you hide any little love handles you haven't gotten rid off... but this will not hide 30lbs of fat, if you're thicker around the belly button than around the chest, bending over will cause you to eyeballs to stick out an inch more than normal.

Each color is a separate piece and stitching is heavy duty and quality seems to be great. Be gentle with the stretch neck, it is not indestructible (that means put deodorant on before the shirt not after)....

If you are muscular it gives you a little of the RoboCop feel but not overly so.

Glove logos are silverish and not overly big.

As I have no large bodies of water nearby this shirt ends up being a nice undershirt for cycling and working out.

Got this last week and used in this weekend. Went snorkeling with it and absolutely loved it. I hate slopping on sunscrean and with this shirt, I don't have to! I just need to cover up a couple spots and I don't get sunscrean all over the place. It actually helped keep me cool in the hot Florida sun too. I think I'll be picking up a few of these shirts. They're a little tight, but are close to true size.

First piece of advice is don't underestimate your size. I'm a smaller built guy so I almost went with the small; glad I didn't, the medium really does fit like a glove. Its a bit tricky to take off when wet but the form fitting contours keep it out of your way (I'm a diver)and provide nice protection. Durable material, good price compared to what you find in the stores. I wasn't too worried about the style aspect but it does look good on me.

This is a great rash guard. It is well-made and looks great. I am a small woman and the extra-small fits me perfectly. Couldn't be happier!

It's a durable rash guard, thick fabric and the design is simple and at the same time original. One of a kind.

This is my fourth rash guard shirt and easily the tightest. I am 6'3" and 180 lbs so I ordered the large as I had with the others and it was nowhere close to the right size. This is the snuggest fit of any I have owned. Nothing wrong with that just good to know. I would easily go with an XL but am opting for a different model that is more tshirt like in fit rather than Spidey Suit. Really cool looking if you fit in it right though.

I have fair skin, and see my dermatologist annually. Wearing a shirt when spending a day in the ocean, at the beach or playing sports is mandatory. The body glove shirt allows full motion (to play volleyball) and moves well without feeling like a heavy rag when you jump in the pool. The only thing to know is that the sizes run small. This is the only shirt in my closet that's an XL.
