Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Body Glove 90145 Deluxe Ice Pack Knee and Elbow Wrap, Blue, Unisize (Tools & Home Improvement)
I really wanted this to work and used it for my knee. It looked really promising when I received the first one and I filled it up and, after it iced up, put it on my knee. Worked great. But like another reviewer, I noticed that the exterior of the ice pack got wet when the ice melted. I was willing to live with this since I only used it for after workout and didn't plan to sleep with it on. Then the ice pack developed a hole in it causing it to leak. I wasn't sure what caused this but returned it to Amazon for a replacement. Amazon was great with this.
I received my second one and used it once but filled it with less water wondering if too much water caused the hole. Right after my first use of the replacement, a hole developed and I realized that it was because of the edges of the ice cutting into the flimsy ice pack material. I thought this was strange but am returning for a refund. If it had a more durable ice pack, this would be great. One reason why I bought this was the Body Glove name and, even though they simply put their name on a product made by another company, I expected them to add some quality control. The reason for 2 star and not 1 is because I think it can work with a better ice pack and like the way it held in place. I've tried wrapping ice packs around my knee and they tend to slip and also the coldness did not last as long as this one. 01/08/2012 Update: After having the Body Glove ice pack, I purchased the English Ice Cap 9" Diameter which I used on and off for the past few years and it is still solid. No leaks, no soak throughs. What I liked about the Body Glove was the neoprene wrap that had a perfect hole and extra length for this type of ice bag to hold it in place. I have tried other dedicated neoprene knee braces to secure the bag, but they do not have the length to hold the ice bag's mass and to get around my knee. Tried ace bandages, too, but they are not meant to support the weight of an ice bag. It would be perfect if the English Ice Cap is paired with the Body Glove neoprene type wrap.

Bag Leaks,
This review is from: Body Glove 90145 Deluxe Ice Pack Knee and Elbow Wrap, Blue, Unisize (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have owned and used a half-dozen Body Glove Ice Wraps in various sizes over many years. Volleyball stresses my knees, ankles, and shoulder. The Body Glove wrap is top-notch, although the velcro does wear out after a couple years of use, that is perfectly acceptable. The thing I don't understand is that every one of the Body Glove ice bags seriously leaks through the mesh, after a while. I'm not talking about condensation. If I wear one on my knee to bed, there's a huge wet spot in the morning. I basically chuck their bag and replace it with a regular drug store ice bag (e.g. $11 Faultless). C'mon Body Glove, you can do better. Even so, the wrap is still a good product.

I have used this product continously on my elbow and knees. It is very easy to use. It stays cold for hours. Just buy it and thanks me later. ;)
