I have had the worst kind of back problem for 28 years, a herniated disk. No matter how careful I am it goes out on average every two to three weeks. It ranges from in the hospital serious, medium serious to mostly small but hurts like hell for a couple of weeks serious. Many years ago I was going to get a back operation but at the last minute I decided to try and control it myself with care and exercise. I used a good back exercise program which helped but usually I ended up still hurting my back. So, fast forward 28 years. I wanted to attempt a solo sailing adventure (at age 76)called the Texas 200 in the Gulf. I would have to drive 3300 miles round trip, sail for five days in an 8 ft. boat (I only made two days because of a break down)and hope my back didn't go out or I might be stranded 1700 miles from home and unable to drive back. So I bought the body glove back support thinking it might give me an edge in support for my back. Knock on wood I can't believe that my back hasn't gone out in 4 months and especially during my strenuous trip. I put this thing on every morning just like I do my socks and wear it everywhere almost. Sometimes even in a restaurant. I can't believe it's been this effective but it's true. I believe any back support of this kind would have worked but I think wearing it constantly is the secrete for me. Like they say, even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while. I think I blindly stumbled on to something that works for me at least.

I have had a back support belt similar to this for years now. I needed to have two more to keep handy at work and in my truck. This belt is of superior quality and I found it for a ridiclously low price. I only bought one because I couldn't believe it could be anything close to what I have had for so long. I am more than pleased with it and do highly recommend it to anyone who has hurt their back OR anyone who wants to avoid hurting it. Really great product for a discount or list price for that matter.
