This item was exactly what I have been looking for but it falls short in the fit category. I used the size chart to select the size and though they fit, the waist on these shorts looks like they were made for a child. The hips are fine. They do not measure what the size chart said. I recommend going one size up from what the chart says unless your waist is on the low end of the chart for the size you need.

I agree 100% with previous reviewer. These shorts are not proportional to waist and hip. The waist is waaaaaay too small. I ordered 2 pairs, the first according to the size chart and the 2nd time the XL and both were too tight in the waist. I usually wear a size 8.

The shape of these shorts is not for the average woman. The waist is extremely narrow compared with the width of the hips. I wear a medium and have several versions of wetsuit garb that fit fine. There was no way to get these shorts above mid-thigh. If you are twiggy, they would be a good choice.

These body glove shorts do the trick! I am a swim instructor and some days the pool is just a little cool to be standing there for 4 hours! This product insulates and is comfortable to wear. It fits perfectly.

Based on other reviews I knew this would be a perfect fit, -and remember that neoprene does stretch some and conforms to your shape when wet. The original size chart from Body Glove is actually accurate. The bike-short-like trunks are perfect for kayakers who tend to get a cold butt even in the summer, -I am sure these have saved me from a few UTIs! I would definitely recommend these.
