I bought this vest so I would have some extra insulation from the cool waters that I will encounter on my January cruise to the Bahamas. I got to test drive it last weekend when I went snorkeling with the manatees at Crystal River; (that review is on my blog: Northwest Florida Outdoor Adventure.) I wore it under my wetsuit for some added insulation and it worked like a charm. The outside air temperatures were 30 degrees and the water was 70-72. I never got cold and had a great time. Well worth it.
