4.0 out of 5 stars The best I've used so far
Can't really comment on the other user's experience, however, I have been thoroughly pleased with the product so far (I have it for about 6 weeks now.). It fits very comfortably and the sound quality has been good. My phone carrier is Voice Stream in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area. Voice Stream on the other hand, stinks!

I had awful experience with this headset. Nokia had the awful idea to put not only a nonstandard plug on their 8200 phones, but make it similar enough to the standard version to make everyone think theirs worked, causing immense confusion among manufacturers. I had awful experience with this headset. Nokia had the awful idea to put not only a nonstandard plug on their 8200 phones, but make it similar enough to the standard version to make everyone think theirs worked, causing immense confusion among manufacturers. On top of this, they included a headset piece that never stays in your ear and no one can hear you on. Body Glove made the only one (at the time) that went over your ear to keep it from falling off. The over the ear piece held it too tightly, causing the speaker to go away from ear and the boom away from my mouth. Thus I couldn't hear anyone and they couldn't hear me. Plus, the nonstandard plug had lousy connections and many times I was lost. The "convenience" of a hands-free headset became a massive inconvenience of using both hands, one to readjust the earpiece and another to keep the plug in the phone. I was way better off without it. I now have a cheaper Samsonite from Target (not available when I bought it) that works awesome. Skip this dud.

1.0 out of 5 stars Body Glove Tinny, July 8, 2001

I tried this unit in the store, and the quality was terrible! The audio sounds like the inside of a tin can, and the mic, which I reviewed by sending a message to my voice mail, is even worse! I wish it performed as good as it looks, because it looks cool! The Nokia earpiece and mic combo, although unglamorous, is head and shoulders above the body glove! I use it every day for business, and my clients don't even know that I am using a headset.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible sound, November 14, 2001
This review is from: Earglove Headset for Nokia 8200 Series (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought one of these - looked like it would be very comfortable (it is). But, looking cool wasn't the goal - having good performance was.

The thing sounds like a cheap, tinny kids radio. It does poorly outside with wind noise. It has staticy interfernce (sounds like bad connections inside). Basically, this thing is junk.

Used it once. Tossed it. The Nokia supplied one is way better - still looking for one with good ergonomics though.

Bascially, don't waste your money (...).

1.0 out of 5 stars twice bitten, thrice cynical, July 23, 2001
This review is from: Earglove Headset for Nokia 8200 Series (Wireless Phone Accessory)
When I purchased this item I was very impressed with it's comfort and aesthetics. It also had very good clarity of sound. When my first Body Glove fell apart within a week, I figured I had clumsily yanked it. I purchased another and the same defect occurred (the metal piece came out of the holder). Enuf.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dont buy!, December 27, 2002

I bought this thinking it was a great deal. Its a famous name brand but it's [weak]. It stopped working in a month, kept slipping off my ear and it tangles up. Amazon.com was great about replacing it, but quess what? The second one stopped working too.
So do yourself a favor and go to [a local store]. I bought one for half the price and it has worked for over 4 months.

It looks cool, but the sound is not good and it's always sliping from my ear. I just quit trying to use it.
