4.0 out of 5 stars I feel so speedy!
I use these for surfing. They are comfortable and do what they are supposed to do, i.e., give you a bit more zip in your paddle. They also have the added benefit of keeping your hands a little warmer and even more notably, helping keep your hands from getting scratchs, pinched or otherwise injured from the board or leash. It does take a bit of getting used to, because...

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not hold up in normal use
These gloves fit well and are reasonably easy to put on and take off.
They have not ballooned in the water in five weeks of use as other gloves are reported to do, although they stretched a little in that time.
The material is thin neoprene with no fabric covering on the outer palm side.
This palm side has an embossed pattern that constitutes most of the...

It does take a bit of getting used to, because you have to train your body to do the opposite of what it was trained to do before (keeping your fingers spread, as opposed to cupping tightly without gloves). Also, I experienced a bit more arm and shoulder muscle fatigue, because I'm moving your water and pulling harder, but that only lasted a few outings.

Since I got them, I have not surfed without them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Probably Great For Real-Live Surfers, January 18, 2008

I bought these for lap swimming not realizing that they were fingertipped. This makes them a little heavy for my purpose, but I can imagine that they'd be great in the ocean--where they're intended to be used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scuba, May 15, 2009

I've used these maybe half a dozen times now, and they greatly increase my mobility underwater while diving. Also, they do not seem to hinder the use of my hands while using my equipment.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a must have for small hands., January 11, 2008
I love my paddle gloves. My hands are small which makes it difficult to paddle out as fast as other surfers. I'm able now to keep up. It's a must have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best webbed gloves I've found, February 22, 2010

I've been using Speedo webbed gloves, but they leave my fingertips exposed to being cut on coral. These Body Glove webbed gloves cover your fingertips. They are also softer, so they are more comfortable, and you can use your hands more easily to manipulate your gear without taking off the gloves. They fit me well without having to re-stitch any of the fingers (as I've had to do with other webbed gloves).

These gloves fit well and are reasonably easy to put on and take off.
They have not ballooned in the water in five weeks of use as other gloves are reported to do, although they stretched a little in that time.
The material is thin neoprene with no fabric covering on the outer palm side.
This palm side has an embossed pattern that constitutes most of the thickness of the glove and has broken off completely in a spot, presumable due hitting a lane divider.
There is fabric on both inside surfaces and the outside of the non-palm surface.
The lack of fabric on the outside of the palm is a poor design feature that resulted in the loss of half of the surface due to a common accident in normal pool swimming.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love these they're awesome!, November 24, 2011

I use these for swimming and diving, they work very well and increase my speed by 30%. At 1st they take getting used to, just like anything; then you learn to use them and you feel like Harry Potter in the Goblet of fire. When he eats the gilly weed. I would recommend them to anyone. The sizing of the gloves is average, so pick your normal glove size, and enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars does what I thought it would, January 30, 2009

I use them for surfing. It does work you out more and you do get tired more using them but that is only in the first 2 or 3 weeks. You do have to be careful because you can injury your shoulder if you try to use them with all your strength all the time.

when I go out there without them I do feel stronger.

They don't help to keep you warm, but they don't make you that much colder either, so there you go.
