A nice enough case, but the one i got from "Closeouts Master" did NOT include the belt clip but did include some rather ugly cosmetic defects, sorta like scratches/indentations in the rubber. I'll figure out how to put a clip on it, and even with the defects it's prettier than my beat-up phone i just wish they wouldn't use these generic product descriptions.

As all mornings go I was in a rush, I put the coffee mug and phone on top of the car to get the keys out. You can see where this is going, as I was accelerating to get on the highway the phone went flying. After retrieving the pieces from the road, the phone actually turned on. The case is a little scratched from the hitting the pavement but it saved me from buying a new phone.

I bought one of these from T-Mobile shortly after getting my G1 right after it came out. I still use the case now, but about six months ago the rubber coating began to come off. After awhile it got so bad I just took the rest of it off, so now only the plastic remains, the glue took awhile to scrap off the plastic. I use a screen cover on the glass that the front helps to hold into place.

The rear cover has two small 'catches', or lips on the top that fit into the top groves of the phone. Pull up on these and the rear cover pops right off.

Great craftsmanship. Bought it for my wife. Once,she accidentally spilled water in her gym bag and didnt know it. Her G1 was inside the bag. The case actually soaked the water, but it didnt get inside the phone and damage the components. Probably would have with anything else or no case at all.. Maybe just a miracle. My wife loves it though.

I finally found the perfect case for my G1! I bought several cases and was not very happy with either of them. They were plastic and look cheap! I love the soft leather like feel and the look of this one. I find the case is no bulkier that the previous cases that I have purchased and it doesn't look cheap! I recommend this one for sure!

Looking for a case with good grip and some cushion for your G1? Then look no further. This is the case for you. I tell you, this item will wow you. It clips perfectly to the G1's body and does not impair with the slide out keyboard mechanism.

Two downsides though. It does add some bulk to the G1 and like the first reviewer pointed out, taking out the back cover is an "Herculean task". You would most probably have to take out the battery cover to remove the back cover.

Nonetheless, i am digging the case and would highly recommend it.

This is exactly what I was looking for for my G1. The case gives the phone a nice feel and some cushion. It does make it a bit bulkier but that bulk is a rubber cushion for the phone. And, that fact that it can change from using a belt clip to a flat back easlly is great.

I do wish the back came off of the phone a bit easier (I keep pulling the battery cover off).

This case adds about 1/4" to every dimension of the phone, which makes it way too bulky. The touch screen also had a tendency to squeak and wobble when this was installed. I finally ended up taking it off, and cracked the camera lens in the process.
