5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great case for the Razr., October 21, 2005

This review is from: Body Glove Scuba Case for Motorola RAZR V3 - Black / Silver (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I looked at a lot of other cases but bought this one. It was a total shot in the dark due to the lack of feedback or product info.

Pros:

1. The case covers the two lcd screens w/ clear plastic.

2. The case covers the bottom portion of the keypad w/ clear plastic.

3. The phone fits snugly in the case - and does not move when the phone is opened / close.

4. The accessory/power port is not blocked by the case

5. The case does not dramatically increase the profile/size of the phone.

Cons:

1. The attatch/detatch button on the belt-clip is extremely stiff - and not so easy to manipulate. Maybe it breaks in over time.

My phone will look like new for a long time thanks to this nifty case. Thanks, Body Glove!

*** Update - 12/9/08

So here we are at the end of 2008. My phone still looks good as new. Only thing about the bodyglove case is that it traps some moisture and smudges over time. This was a great purchase.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice cover that could use a couple modifications., March 10, 2006
This review is from: Body Glove Scuba Case for Motorola RAZR V3 - Black / Silver (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I was looking for a cover that would protect this thin phone while maintaining a comfortable fit in my pocket.

This cover fits relatively close to the phone, it could be a little tighter, but gives me the impression and feeling that the phone is well protected.

For the most part the cover contours nicely to the phone. In looking closer, I can see this would not be an easy task. However, even installed correctly, the hole for the recharger does not line up. The hole on the cover, with out manipulation, clears 3/4 of the recharger port and does not line up exactly. When I push the cover up on the phone it does clear the port opening and appears to have enough clearance for recharging. My guess is the cut out hole is off, however, with further use the cover material may stretch to fit better. Once the case is pushed up and the port opening cleared the recharger cord piece clips into the phone and recharges (and so far it has not disengaged during charging).

This is a nice looking cover. There is a hand icon instead of letters. I think I would have preferred the letters. But the hand icon does not necessarily look bad.

The clear plastic on the inside of the cover suctions nicely to the display window and keypad. The plastic that I have had on past phones laid loosly on the keys and window, which I did not like.

There is the round knob left on the case when the phone is detached from its belt clip that prevents the phone from fitting better in my pocket. This is the knob that I have had on other belt clip phone covers. Once the phone is detached from the clip this sown on knob is permanent and is not removable from the cover.

Because I prefer to put the phone in my pocket this was disappointing.

If you are a person that likes to wear this phone on your belt, this case is a great case for you. If you are someone who likes to put the phone in your pocket and you looking for a sleek phone case you may be dissappointed.

Even though I was somewhat disappointed, I have decided to keep the case for the protection it provides and use the cover with the belt clip on the way to and from work. One nice feature of the belt clip and knob is once attached together the phone and case can be rotated incrementally and maintained at a horizontally position (great for sitting or driving).

On weekends I will probably remove the case, which is easy, and needs periodic cleaning anyway and store the phone in my pocket with out the case.

Although this doesn't fit as nice as I wanted in my pocket, it does provide the protection I wanted and is a very cool looking, well made, belt clip phone case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Body Glove does it again!, August 24, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Body Glove Scuba Case for Motorola RAZR V3 - Black / Silver (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This is the 4th Body Glove "cellsuit" case I've owned, not because any of them ever wore out or broke, but simply because I've bought them for four different phones. I bought this one for my Motorola Razr. The fit is perfect, all cut-ous line up with the phone ports, speakers, etc. This phone actually fits the Razr slightly better than the Body Glove I use for my Motorola V551.

It provides some protection from drops, the elements, etc. both externally and internally, whereas many cases, including the popular hard cases for Razrs protect only the exterior.

A few people have written reviews that the phone doesn't close a swell as it does without the case. It closes fine. You add a slight thickness to the edge of the phone with a case on it, so basically it closes all the way, almost exactly the same as without a case, but because of the case, you won't hear the phone cover "click shut" but it is closed and its not like the front is suddenly lose or pops open. The case is a great value and works perfectly.
