Body Glove Glove Snap On Case for LG UX265, AX265 Banter

When I was looking for cases to protect my new phone purchase I wanted something that covered the entire phone and made it a little bit bigger so it fit in my hand better. This case gives it a better grip and allows all of the same functionality that it had before that. If anyone out there is looking for a protective case I would highly recommend this Body Glove case.

I bought this case for my mother. So far it works pretty well. The only thing that she doesn't like about it is that it doesn't show the notification icon thing.

First let me say that in general, I like this phone cover. I am using it with my LG UX265 Banter from U.S. Cellular. I had one on my old LG UX260 and it fit great, provided the right amount of grip and seemed durable. The only thing to keep in mind with these covers is that they add a lot of bulk to the phone. I think it's worth it, but if you like to keep the phone in a pants pocket, it may be a problem.

The cover fits great, however it seems like an old design applied to a new phone, as it completely blocks the UX265's message indicator LED. It wouldn't have taken much to provide a cutout for the LED, so my guess is that test fitting for this setup was pretty minimal. I may try to notch my own cutout, but as-is I'm not sure I would repeat the purchase.

My boyfriend got me this case for my birthday, just a month and a half after I got my LG Banter. It had been a really great case, no complaints. It snaps on easily (putting pressure around all edges), and it leaves every function open for use - camera, charge connector, back speaker, camera button, volume buttons, micro sd disk holder, and headphone jack. I guess the only downsides are that it hides the face plate, which is probably this phone's "cool sell", and it makes the phone rather bulky. It also does cover up the messaging light. But just this last weekend, I got to test this case's protector ability.
I stupidly left my phone on the top of my car before heading out on a two-hour drive back home. Before getting on the highway (thank goodness!) the phone bounced off the top of my car and into the road. My sis and I jumped out to try and find my phone. We found it and both parts of the body glove came off of the phone as well as the front faceplate. But the phone itself was fine! I was amazed! The body glove now has some surface damage on it, but I completely trust that it will protect my phone no matter what. I'm very happy with this case! I'll probably get one for every phone I own. =)

I have one for my LG Banter. Its made from a rigid plastic covered with what feels to be a dipped or molded rubberized outer coating. the top flange covers the message indicator light. The top half fits fine though by a promise since it is easily removed, the bottom half fits only three corners. The fourth is enough for it to loosen and come off. If there is ANY warpage at all it will not fit your phone. At 20+ dollars each ive had THREE of them in a month (two from Amazon) and none of them fit correctly. My most recent one I got at the US Cell store, and it was the best fitting of THREE different ones that I tried in the store. Ridiculous. The concept is great, the feel is nice, the fit is so finicky that if one of the minuscule plastic tabs broke then you are hosed. It is warranted for a year by Body Glove (or US Cell if you get their branded ones) but it is NOT warranted from acts of damage-which could be caused just by trying to take it off the back to change the battery.

Im going to try skinz instead. Nice try body glove, but its a no go, at least for this model/type of slider keyboard phone.

The good:
Completely removable belt clip.
The body glove coating makes the phone easier to grip.

The bad:
It's a cheap plastic case covered with the rubbery body glove coating.
Doubles the depth of your phone.
The bar between the screen and the number pad makes it a little difficult to hit the soft keys needed to navigate the phone.
Ultimately the top and bottom are held by 4 small plastic tabs each. break one, you get wobble, break 2, it's time for tape.
Does NOT have a hole for the message indicator light.

In short, I strongly suspect that this phone cover is not designed for the LG banter, but provided a close enough fit that they packaged it as such. Have purchased Body Glove in the past, likely will agian in the future, would NOT reccomend.
