I've been a fan of Jonathan's for years and have loved his work with Journey and Bad English. However, his solo "new age" albums have a very special place in my heart and if one listens to this CD, it won't be hard to figure out why! He skillfully uses the piano to give voice to the most intimate of human desires, both physical and emotional. This is a great album to play when with a loved one or even alone.

Jonathan Cain endeavors upon the melodic sound of "Smooth jazz" on this CD; as a pianist, he is quite refined and still maintains a sound for the purist. This CD highlights this musician's talent.

What a beautiful CD. This music is so flowing and moving. I use it alot at night for relaxation and sleep. JC is a wonderful song writer, piano player and singer (along with his other instruments he plays) He's just a wonderful musician all around.

I on the other had take melody/harmony over rythm any day. I don't listen to this CD anymore. It isn't bad but doesn't have any place in my musical landscape. Perhaps it is the lack of melody or similarity of rythms.

You might enjoy it if you like rythms but I would think most would agree "Piano with a View" is a much stronger effort. Jonathan should stick to melodic romantic or jazz compositions. They are just so much better!
