Editorial Reviews

Review

Body-Mind Psychotherapy is a body psychotherapy classic, equivalent to Reich's Character Structure or Lowen's Language of the Body. But it's more than that, it's actually a contribution to the field of contemporary psychotherapy as a whole. . . . [S]parkles with insight, humour, and gentleness. It also encapsulates a wealth of learning.

A must read for anyone interested in Somatic Psychology.
Jennifer Randt
Her book is essential in understanding the history, and practice of body-mind psychotherapy, of which I would consider her one of the founders.

I have read this book several times now and use this work in my clinical pratice. The theory and practice are both easy to understand and practical to use. This work has positively impacted how I understand and work with my patients and how I work with myself as a therapist. This is a must have book for all therapist. Clinically sound, relevant, and worth the investment.

I found this book to be strait to the point. I like it because it provided the information you need to start using body based interventions quickly. However, it was hard to get through because of how dry of a read it is. Still it is a great book to start with and provides the knowledge one would hope to get from such a book.
