Great Short Strength Training Workout, December 25, 2003

There's no warmup or cool down to this workout. Those are minor complaints for this solid thirty minute muscle endurance workout. You'll hit all of your major muscle groups including your lower back with this tape. I highly recommend it.

There is no warm-up in this workout, but the instructor reminds you to warm-up before beginning (says, "I assume you've warmed up already" or something like that, so just pause and march in place for a while or whatever gets you ready to work!) He starts right in with two kinds of squats, then lunges on the bench (which I do on the floor), then moves to your chest, shoulders, back, biceps and triceps (he uses a barbell, but I do just fine with dumbells/hand weights). After the upper body comes a some serious ab work. This video packs a lot in 30 minutes. There is no stretch, but of course you can do that on your own after the workout, and he reminds you to do so. By the way, he does some sort of 'shadow swordplay" during the closing credits. I don't know why, but I *love* watching those names roll up my TV screen :-)
