About the Author

Stephanie Bond was five years deep into a corporate career in computer programming and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked she had a flair for writing and suggested she submit material to academic journals. But Stephanie was more interested in writing fiction—more specifically, romance and mystery novels. After writing in her spare time for two years, she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books. After selling ten additional projects to two publishers, she left her corporate job to write fiction full-time. To-date, Stephanie has more than sixty published novels to her name, including the popular BODY MOVERS humorous mystery series and the new TWO GUYS DETECTIVE AGENCY series. 5.0 out of 5 stars So worth the wait! February 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This series was recommended to me by someone in one of my yahoo groups. I bought them for my Kindle, but due to the huge to be read pile, it was a while before I read them. And when I started, I was hooked. Stephanie Bond is an amazing writer. The Plum series books read like outlines, but the Body Movers series has the full meat and potatoes.

This ia a novella and starts right where book 6 ends. Many times, Carlotta wonders what her life would have been like if their parents didn't run off and leave her to care for her younger brother. Be careful what you wish for! I won't give away the whole story line, but she gets her wish. Being a Twilight Zone fan, I loved this story even more. I couldn't put my Kindle down. I bought this book this afternoon, immediately called my mother to let her know it's on our Kindle account, and finished it after dinner. And like the first 6, it left me completely satisfied and dying for book 7! Stephanie...girlfriend....hook a sister up and get going on it before I have a stroke!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book - curious about impact January 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoy the Body Movers series and think all siz books are quite good. I don't usually read novellas since I prefer the detail of a full length novel but I thought the premise of this one was interesting. Now I am curious as to how this book will impact the series. Will Bond use it to reset the series and change the characters? I hope not. And when is book 7 coming out? Bond's website says late 2012 but that obviously didn't happen. Again, I enjoy the series but I wish the author would update the series more frequently.

4.0 out of 5 stars Carlotta's Wonderful Life April 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Another twist on A Christmas Carol/It's a Wonderful Life this time starring Carlotta Wren. Starting off directly after 6 Killer Bodies ends, Carlotta falls asleep in her beloved Miata convertible and drifts to another world - a world where her parents never left. What would her life be like if her parents never went on the run crumbling her entire world? Would it be better? Would she be happier? In her alternate world with her parents, she finds familiar faces - Coop, Wesley, Hannah, June, Peter, Angela. Some things are good, some things not so good. And then there's Jack - they still have "amazing chemistry" in both worlds!

I know it's a short story, but it was too short and ended so abruptly. I guess the point was to make the fans of Body Movers want more. Okay! I want more! Just don't make us wait too long.

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointed October 2, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I was disappointed in the novella. I have read all of the previous Body Mover books and thoroughly enjoyed them. 6 1/2 Body Movers reminded me of a child's story...elementary plot, predictable and hastily written.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you! May 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was just rereading the series for the 4th time and though t I'd check out the Stephanie Bond website again. Low and behold, I found this novella. I was so excited that I downloaded it immediately and read it in about 30 minutes. I can't wait for book 7, and I'm cheering Jack Terry on, he's my favorite by far.

1.0 out of 5 stars Total Let Down! August 14, 2012
By Jessica
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book answered none of the unanswered questions from the series. The only death was sad and not even remotely interesting. I counted down until the next body movers book and I WILL NOT be reading or purchasing another book from this author or series. Total let down and disappointment.

More About the Author

Stephanie Bond was several years into a corporate computer programming career when an instructor in her night school MBA program remarked that she had a flair for writing and encouraged her to submit one of her projects to academic journals. "But," Stephanie says, "all I could think was 'I wonder if I could write a romance novel?'" Bond grew up on a farm in eastern Kentucky where the entertainment choices were few. Luckily, she had a beloved aunt who shared her passion for reading. "When she visited once a year, she brought boxes and boxes of gothic novels by Victoria Holt and Phyllis Whitney and lush historical romances--I was in heaven! So suddenly thinking about writing in the genre of the books I loved was very exciting." After writing every spare moment for two years, Stephanie sold her first romantic comedy manuscript, IRRESISTIBLE? to Harlequin books. Two years later, she walked away from her corporate career to write commercial fiction full time. To date, she's published over 60 romance and mystery projects with Random House, St. Martin's Press, HarperCollins, and Mira Books, and is most well-known for her BODY MOVERS humorous mystery series. Her newest series is TWO GUYS DETECTIVE AGENCY (about two sisters whose last name is Guy). Stephanie lives in midtown Atlanta and is probably working on a story at this very moment.

Does anyone know when Body Movers 7 will be out?
I'm bummed that book 7 isn't out yet. We're well into 2013 and her website says it would be out in 2012. I'm going to have to re-read the entire series to remember what happened if #7 ever comes out!

SOOOO when does Book 7 come out???
You didn't miss it. The release date has been pushed back over and over and over again. I think you can read an exert on her website though. Maybe it will be out sometime in the next 5 years. ;)
