Body Puzzle tells the tragic and increasingly morbid story of the lovely widow Tracy (Gorky Park's Joanna Pacula). Not only has her famous pianist husband Abe died in an auto accident, but someone keeps breaking into her house and leaving severed body parts lying around. The investigating police officer, Michael (The Church's Tomas Arana), strikes up a hot and heavy romance with her to keep Tracy's mind off the rapidly accumulating trophies. The police chief (spaghetti western pro Gianni Garko) tells Michael to keep his mind on his job; soon he closes in on the one responsible for the killings. The clincher is the mysterious link between all of the victims.
It is a perfectly framed example of giallo executed brilliantly, with a small dose of cheesy fun tossed in for good measure. --Fangoria Magazine
The really good news about this dvd is that it is in reality widescreen. For some reason the box says it's the dreaded full screen or pan and scan format in which one third of the movie is chopped off to fit your old tube screen size. This is widescreen though and so you get the whole picture as it was shot in 1991. The film itself is a pretty good thriller with a interesting twist at the end. Unlike many giallos you actually see the killers face as he kills his victims and not just a pair of gloved hands. Still that doesn't mean you know the final twist. The acting in this movie is very good and done with established and accomplished actors and Lamberto Bava delivers another solid directing job. The print looks great and is mastered very well. This is a solid thriller/ mystery movie that fans of the genre will surely enjoy.

The two stars are rather a rating of the DVD than the film itself. I bought this DVD because "Italian audio" and "New and improved English subtitles" are mentioned as DVD features on the backcover. But the DVD does not contain any subtitles at all and there's only the English audio. Apart from that, the DVD is OK, but I really prefer Italian audio with subtitles, so I feel rather annoyed about this.
This concerns a man who's homosexual locer dies and his organs are donated to people. The man begins killing off the organ recipients one-by-one to reassmble the body. Psychologically he's turned into the dead man. The killer taunts his wife. It's learned he was involved in a drug scandle at a popular homosexual's house. I predicted the ending just before it happened. How could you not like a movie that has Giovanni Lambardo Radice(drill guy in Gates of Hell, castrated in Cannibal Ferox). Acceptable acting and somewhat stylish direction by Lamberto Bava, who is for some reason credited as Larry Clark.? It's much fasted paced than Bava's A Blade in the Dark, which is much better though. Worthwhile for fans of Lamberto Bava, Mario Bava, Dario Argento, and Michele Soavi.
