5.0 out of 5 stars I feel great!
This is a great book if you have a desire to help yourself feel better. I have ordered about 15 copies in the last 6 months for family members and friends. When someone tells me they have pains I tell them how to relieve it. At first they think I'm nuts. Then they do what I tell them and when the pain goes away they want a copy. I have enjoyed the practice of making...

1.0 out of 5 stars Body Reflexology a bit confusing
This book has several flaws that make it difficult for the reader to understand the author's message. First of all, the book is not well organized. It does not present material in an order in which the reader can learn. For example, the illustrations are not in a logical order, so the reader is required to skip forward and backward many pages, and sometimes...

I find Body Reflexology to be very useful in my massage practice. The language and concepts are plain and easily understood. The case histories are extremely interesting. An excellent reference for anyone curious about how reflexology works all over the body, not just hands or feet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, December 8, 1999
By A Customer
Of course, I used to laugh at all those new age jerks who were studying horoscopes, chakras and reflex charts. However, being pretty desperate about my health, I decided to give Mrs. Carter's book a try - what could I lose, anyway?

Though I found out that reflexology will not work wonders, ie. bring immediate complete healing, I was suprised to see that it had indeed some beneficial effects on my health. I had really bad digestion problems. Massaging the stomach and colon reflexes provided some very quick relief and my digestion is actually improving slowly. I also had slight potency problems, so I started to massage several sex reflexes. I have noticed an obvious improvement in my sexual performance. I have also noticed that massaging the heart reflexes provides some very quick help. I haven't yet noticed any results with my eye problems. I still have lots of work to do with my health, but Mrs. Carter's book gave me a pretty good start.

It was an excellent idea of Mrs. Carter to include other kinds of advice than just reflexology in her book . For instance, she introduces a yoga exercise for instantly curing a sore throat. It doesn't heal your throat completely in an instant as Mrs. Carter claims, but sometimes it's still a great help.

Of course, this book is no substitute for your brains. If you'd take Mrs. Carter's advice dead-seriously, you'd have to spend 24 hours a day massaging your reflexes. Her book seems to be directed on retired persons who have nothing to do all day long anyway. She also prates very much about God, love etc. Please don't let this keep you from reading this wonderful book. Forgive the old lady her little weaknesses. This book is so good that a few flaws that are in it aren't really disturbing at all.

I enjoy this book as a reference book in reflexology for home use. I have used it successfully on myself as well as my husband for several ailments. Including one that my husband avioded sugery with reflexology. I am a believer. It is a well written book with easy to follow directions, it includes diagrams and pictures.

5.0 out of 5 stars May The Doubting Thomas Remain Sick!, June 24, 2005
This review is from: Body Reflexology: Healing at Your Fingertips (Paperback)
The fools! Those that require empirical proof that reflexogy exists DON'T deserve healing. I've used Mildred Carter's books for more than 25 years, since my teens. I've experienced it work on myself, and others, time and time and time and time again. That's my evidence! References? Sources? Clearly, you must first assuage the ghost that haunts your mind that reflexogy is a con. Surely those that gave it 1 star moonlight for the American Skeptical Society. Twenty years ago I stopped - cold - a cluster migraine headache, the type that makes you go blind in one eye and suffer intolerable cranial pounding for about five hours. And it was happening to me! Extra-strength Tylenol wouldn't even touch it! Rubbed out the pancreatic reflex on the foot. Another time, a woman I worked with bitterly complained of frontal lobe and left hemisphere headaches: I said rub deeply the webbing between the thumb and the forefinger of the left hand. (I've seen this work repeatedly with a dozen people.) Yelping, she did so, diligently. The headache eased off within minutes. And that's just the iceberg's tip. Anything from Mildred, even if it sounds goofy, is worth a try. (There was a time when rubbing my foot soundly patently stupid.) May the disbelievers continue to suffer; I prefer relief.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding - Everyone should own this book, October 14, 2007
Mildred Carter is amazing, this book can save your life and so I believe every family should have a copy. I have purchased over ten copies of this book to give away to friends and family because it is exceptional.

Clear, easy to read and follow, instructions are easy and outcomes remarkable.

Over a decade ago, I had a bad cold, went to a mountain resort for the weekend and when we came back down the mountain, my right ear exploded with pain and I lost my hearing.

When I got home, the pain had subsided but my hearing did not return, for three days everyone I knew tried to help me but my hearing did not return.

Then I remembered this accupressure book which had helped me in the past. I found a section on hearing and decided to do exactly what Mildred indicated. I put pressure on the tips of my fingers for over seven hours, even while driving my car! My hearing returned and it is still perfect today.

Mildred teaches so many excellent ways to stay healthy or increase your health in this book that I highly recommend it to everyone. Easy even for a 10 year old to learn.

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL & Very Helpful Book!!!!! A+++++, November 30, 2007
I LOVE this book SO MUCH! I bought this book with high hopes of helping the chronic pain I have had for in my feet for over 6 years, and IT REALLY Works! My friend told me about this book and how it had helped her, so I went and ordered it the same day. After reading the book and learning how to give my self reflexology treatments, the pain in my feet has decreased by at least 75%. This book is a god sent. Thank you Mildred Carter, you are an angel!!!!
