Dear Reader, if you have purchased the first edition of Body Sculpting with Kettlebells, there are two editor's misprints in the exercise description section. Please contact me on this site for a link to the correct photo and text for those two exercises. Please note that the current, third edition does not contain these errors. Thank you!

Lorna Kleidman, 3 -time World Kettlebell Sport Champion, Master of Sport and Two-Time International Master of Sport, personal trainer and author is bringing the age-old art of kettlebell workouts to the public.

Her passion for and years of experience in dance, boxing and general fitness ultimately led her to the versatility of the kettlebell. Today, Lorna is at the forefront of the sport of international kettlebell lifting as well as kettlebell use for fitness.

Although Lorna is an accomplished competitive athlete and trainer, she grew up suffering from severe exercise-induced asthma, her lung capacity so weak she was unable to participate in any recreational activities.

As a teenager, Lorna studied dance, which became her passion for years. In 1990 she became licensed in massage therapy and later ART (Active Release Technique), upon which she built a thriving private practice in Westchester County with clients that included professional athletes as well as teenagers and elderly clients.

In her late 20's, Lorna discovered intense aerobic training, which proved extremely beneficial for her breathing and stamina, but it wasn't until she as introduced to the kettlebell that she knew she had found the perfect fitness tool. She was immediately hooked as kettlebell training gave her the most defined, powerful physique she'd ever experienced in all her years of dance and fitness classes. She was soon a certified instructor in competitive kettlebell lifting and in 2007 was the first American to earn the coveted title of International Master of Sport.

Lorna immediately realized the unparalleled benefits of kettlebell workouts for everyone; whether a client is a new mother, golfer, runner or yoga enthusiast, Lorna guarantees a better level of fitness that is not just seen and felt, but that relates to activities of daily living and performance. Today, Lorna offers private sessions and small group classes in Manhattan.

Buying this book: Lorna Kleidman's Body Sculpting with Kettle Bells: was simply the best thing I have ever done. My friend Jo introduced me to kettlebells and she took me through a work out session and I loved it straight away. I started on using kettle bells 3 times a week but with no real direction but did feel small changes in my shape.
I have always had to worry about my weight and staying a UK size 12 took effort. During my pregnancy I ate anything and everything in sight as I saw it as a right of passage (silly girl). For months after my sons birth I did nothing and just hoped the weight would fall off....magically. For months I have been feeling down and feeling totally useless as I just could not shift the weight.

Jo calls me one day and tells me about Lorna Kleidman's Body Sculpting with Kettle Bells book and that I just have to get it......well as I said before: that was one of the best things I have ever done.

I have just completed the silver program and I can't actually believe that this is my body. My core has never been this strong and my thighs.....wow they are like rocks. So many people have noticed the difference in me and I feel fantastic. I am so excited about the change in my shape and the weight is now coming off. My arms have never looked this good. I just can't believe more people don't know about this book (something which I intend to change).
I feel in control of my life again and feel like I have more energy. I have never looked forward to a workout but now I get so excited. The book is so well structured and helps you understand technique which is critical for results. It is serious like having a personal trainer!!!!

Get this book and try it........it's fantastic!!!!

I'm relatively new to kettlebells, maybe 2 weeks in. I purchased a GoFit brand that came with a short introductory video, and was hooked! I've always been a lazy person who hated exercise, and kettlebells are something I look forward to. I searched around for a week or so, debating about buying a workout DVD or deciding between a few books, and after reading many reviews I decided on this one, plus you can't beat $10 for a book! I was not disappointed. It has a great introduction to how she got started and the benefits she gets, plus a brief story on the history kettlebells. Then great illustrations of many kettlebell exercises, and 3 different workout plans so you can progress to something more challenging as you get more fit. Very clear and concise. I'm very pleased I picked this book. It's amazing how much your heart rate goes up with just a few swings of the kettlebells, what a great workout!

This is an excellent book for kettlebell users of all levels and abilities. I had worked with a personal trainer earlier this year and he does resistance training and kettlebells only. Phenomenal workout! You get both muscle training and cardio in one compact workout. In addition to 18 weeks of workouts, you get common sense information about nutrition and a little bit of background about kettlebells. Easy to read and understand illustrations of all exercises. Great warm up and warm down stretches, which I do on the "off" days. I highly recommend this to anyone!

I have been working out with kbells since Jan 2009. I began with a great dvd by Lauren Brooks. She is also a certified Russian Kettlebell specialist. After using her Ultimate Body Sculpting dvds (1 & 2), I felt like I was a fairly experienced kettlebell enthusiaste. (By the way, I was an avid fan of dumbbell workouts but I have quit my dumbbells since picking up a kettlebell. Kbells are a much better method.) Anyway, I was looking for a book to compare training notes/methods against Ms. Brooks'. I was skeptical that Ms. Kleidman's book could supply workouts equal to the ones on my dvds. I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised and impressed. The workouts are intense if you are using a heavy enough bell and they are clear, concise and easy/fun circuits to follow. They provide a great workout and are a great supplement to my dvds. I was also surprised to find there are four programs and they aren't repetitious!
My only gripe is that I learned to workout barefoot and the book recommends using shoes. I am used to working out barefoot now and so I am not sure I agree with the author's advice on that point. In all, however, I highly recommend this book.

This well-written book is all you need to get rid of that muffin-top and back into that little black dress. The trouble with most kettle bell instruction is that the available books and videos are either cutesy, or they tend to be long on testosterone and machismo and short on planned out, solid, safe workout practices. This book is absolutely full of illustrations that clearly show proper form, and Ms. Kleidman's text is clear and informative. If you want to try a kettle bell workout routine, but don't know how or where to start; start here. This is an excellent fitness book that really works.

I've been working on my kettlebell program through using this Body Sculpting book for about 8 weeks now. I'm beginning the gold program. The Silver program results were amazing. Not only do I stand straighter, I look leaner, and I feel stronger.

I've always wanted to be a runner, but never was able to get my endurance up enough. My goal has always been to run a marathon when I'm 40, which I'll be turning that this year. Not only do my friends tell my now they can notice changes each time they see me, I set up to run this AM. I was able to run 3 miles, without any problems. I wasn't winded or tired, and I had no aches or pains. The benefits of kettlebell are real, I would have never done this without this book and program.

I'm educating everyone I know on the kettlebell and buying my friends this book for their fitness libraries.
