Very happy with the overall quality of this bench.
Superdave717
It is well suited to my needs and so far appears to be well built with high quality metal.

The post for adding weight to the leg station is 1", not the 2" as shown.

This bench is a disappointment. The post for adding weight to the leg station is 1", not the 2" as shown. I negotiated a $50 discount with Amazon to fix that. Also, one of the barbell standards is bent slightly which causes the adjustable post within to bind. I'm going to have to fix that too, by bending the post to match. I expect new products to work out of the box. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this product.

I purchased this bench 7 months ago and have been very happy with it. It's sturdy, and meets my benching needs (I rep with 225 lbs). In addition, I use it to brace myself when doing dumbbell rows and the leg extension is a nice plus. It's true that the leg attachment is sized for standard weights; however, for around $10 you can buy the Olympic adaptor which works great. My only complaint would be that screwing in the leg attachment can be a little bit of a pain. Unlike most benches, it does not have screw "pop in" functionality. Although this bench isn't quite gym quality, it's as close to it as you're gonna get for the price.

came packaged nicely and within a week with the free shipping option. I originally 2/5/10 and received by 2/11/10. Easy to assemble but my issue was with the leg adapter. It says olympic style bench but the leg adapter is not in fact it is 1 inch in diameter so I have to purchase cap free weights if I wanna use. Otherwise for the price it's well worth it. Haggle with amazon I got 15% credit due to this issue.

This was my first Bench Press I have ever purchased and it is great. It looks even better in person. The Quality of the metal used, down to the seats are great! My only complaint is that the leg developer is not compatible with Olympic Weights, although it is advertised as an Olympic Bench Press. Also, the parts inside the packaging were not secured very well, and the way I moved the box caused the metal too hit each other, causing some of the main parts to scratch up, so be careful when handling the box. Overall, this is a great quality bench press for the money. I took around 4 hours to assemble with the help of another person. This is a must for any strength trainer.

The bench is for a fire station and it was to replace a similar unit. It works well and is used almost daily by multiple fiefighters. The product shipped quickly and assembled quickly. Carring the bench was a workout in itself. It has been in service for about 2 months with no issues.

I just finished assembling this bench.

It is (no doubt) a sturdy bench, built with a 12-gauge body frame. It features 6 adjustable positions (flat/incline/decline). The leg developer tube/rod is geared for standard weight plates (1"), so if you want to use olympic plates, you'll need one of those adapter sleeves. It uses a fair amount of space (Dimensions: 43"H x 77"L x 46"W). Assembly was fairly quick and easy; it's a one-man operation. I purchased mine from a local fitness shop in Ontario, Canada.

Possible add-ons (or options) to this bench are : a preacher curl station (GPCA1) and/or lat row attachment (GLRA81).

It's funny but NOWHERE on their website, or in their documentation does it specify how much this bench can support. So I e-mailed Body-Solid with the exact model # of the bench, and they responded : "Good afternoon, Maximum weight for the bench press is 800 lbs. Thank You & Have a Great Day!"

I do have 3 grievances though, the last one being a major one; 1) The leg extension component supports a max of 132 pounds; seems kinda light to me... and 2) It would've been nice if they included 2 sets of handles (one at the lower half of the bench press [where you sit down to do leg extensions] so you can grab onto it for support (just like at the gym) and the second set at the upper half of the bench press [where your head rests] so you can grab onto it for support when doing lying leg curls. Whenever I do leg exercises on this machine, my hands immediately go for the handles (which are not there) because I used to have it at my previous gym. 3) While the bench is adjustable (varying degrees), if you raise it on an angle to perform incline presses, it is IMPOSSIBLE to position the bench so that the bar is in front of your head.

This bench is not that great. The material used to cover the seat is thin, rubbery and loose fitting. Material is carelessly stapled to the backing boards. Cushioning is too soft and mushy. The seat is uncomfortable in the flat bench position because the gap for the hinge falls in an inconvenient spot. Adjustment between incline and flat as well as bar support height is much to complicated. Assembly is a nightmare. Way too many pieces that could have been factory installed such as cheap plastic end-caps and the two seat sections. I do not recommend the product.
