Body-Solid Rubber Grip Olympic Plates

These plates are as described. They are actually built nicely. The only thing I would caution other buyers about this product is that the rubber on these plates smell very bad! What I mean is that the rubber itself has a chemical smell to it. I bought these to improve my health (for workouts) its ironic that these plates have a chemical rubber smell. I was hoping the smell would fade away after unpacking them but weeks later it is still there. It is so bad that when they are left out in the room, the entire room smells like fresh tar laid out on a street. I have to cover them with a blanket and put them in a box to keep the smell from emitting itself out to the room. I don't know if I got a bad set or what. But its a shame because these are nice plates. Sadly the smell makes these plates un-usable ( I seriously cannot concentrate on my workout because of it).

Studies have found that rubber emitting such smells are known to be cancerous, so be cautious!

It's a weight, whaddya want? Well, I wanted it to have rubber that didn't stink (check), arrive quickly and not have to wait weeks for delivery (check), and have each weigh 10 pounds (I bought two. ...check). Fulfilled all my expectations, and is standing up to frequent use.

Small plates are reasonably priced as well, but the larger plates are a little steep. Can't really beat the small ones though.

This is a great product by body solid for block heads who need an item that will not scuff your floor if your a body builder. I have almost 500lbs no gain no pain.
