I read the reviews, debated whether I should order this item, figured the problem had been corrected, and bought this mat anyway. Result: a disappointed buyer. The description plainly stated it was a Body Solid Super Mat RF36T Treadmill Mat with a "lifetime warranty." Actually, it is a Supermat, Inc. product (the box has their location as Elk River, Mn. 55330), and the insert sheet within the box specifies it only has a "1 year warranty." The package itself does have a small barcode sticker with RF36T on it, but nowhere does it state on the box or packaging inside the box that the mat is a Body Solid product. As of the time of my review (2/12/2010), I am the third buyer who purchased this product primarily because it was supposed to have a "lifetime warranty." Three strikes and you're out. I love Amazon, and frequent their site often. I have always rated them highly. However, this should not be happening. The problem could be remedied if the description was changed to accurately reflect the stated warranty within the box itself; also, whether it is actually a Body Solid mat or a Super Mat. Regretfully, I'm returning the product for a refund, and will continue to search for a mat for my treadmill.
UPDATE: 2/25/2010 THE DESCRIPTION HAS BEEN CORRECTED TO REFLECT THAT THERE IS A "ONE YEAR WARRANTY" AS OPPOSED TO THE PREVIOUS "LIFETIME WARRANTY." THIS SATISFIES ME, AND I WOULD RATE IT DIFFERENTLY AS A RESULT. THANKS AMAZON FOR THE CORRECTED DESCRIPTION. TWO THUMBS UP!
