I own several pieces from Body Solid and this one lives up to the expectation set by the others: well engineered, well built, good assembly instructions. I'm over 200 pounds and this gear doesn't flinch. It's more expensive than something you'd get from the local sporting goods store but the fact they send along touch-up paint is revealing. This apparatus will be needing to have it's nicks and scuffs touched up long after lesser gear is heading to the dump.

I've had this for a month now. The product is decent. Wish it was a little higher, but I guess it's good for a home gym. I'm 5'9 and I can't hang with legs straight. It didn't take much to put it together. It's definitly sturdy. I weigh 245lbs and have no problems with it. Overall it's good for pull ups, chin ups, dips and knee raises. Probably worth the price.

This chin up/knee raise/dip station is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I compared many models, both at local sporting goods stores and high end fitness stores along with several different online vendors. Amazon and Fitness Factory offered the best product for the price and with superior quality.

I purchased a refurbished floor model but it came very quickly and it excellent condition. There were a few minor nicks but those were quickly repaired with the touch up paint that was included in the shipment.

I am 6'3" and 200 pounds and this unit offers zero wiggle when I do any of the exercises on it. This is working perfect for my P90X workouts and I look forward to using it for many years to come.

Fed ex really did a number on the box, breaking open completely so that parts fell out when I tried to lift it. But I got it all out to the garage and started putting it together. I noticed some nicks in the paint but it comes w touch up paint so I wasn't too worried. But I noticed the foam on the grips had some tears and this type of foam will only get worse with a rip in it like this. So I sent an email to the vendor and that same day I get a reply from the owner of fitness4homeonline, Bob, assuring me this is not up to their standards, and replacement parts were on the way. Customer service and courtesy like this is second to none. I can not recommend working with folks like Bob enough

Husband and I initially went to several local sporting goods stores and found that the Body Solid products were the sturdiest in its price range so I went looking specifically for this brand online. Luckily we found one on Amazon for almost 50% less than the store price AND it included shipping to my doorstep! The shipping was super-fast, it came in less than a week of placing the order.

The only thing that I would have to caution you about is that it comes unassembled so you have to put it together which took my very handy hubby about 90 min. to put together. He tells me that the directions left something to be desired, so if you do get this item, make sure you are (or have someone with you who is) up to the challenge. Also, you need to place the assembled product either on a level surface or atop a mat to ensure stability.

As far as the options for this dip station, we gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I think it could have used more options for the pull up bar such as the military pull-up option. It only has the wide bar. All in all a great station and would highly recommend. Yippe Amazon - another great buy at an unbeatable price!

As my son would say about an athlete, this is a beast. All the parts are heavy duty big-time and it's solid as a rock. I expect this to last a long, long time, and my oldest son will put it to the test soon enough. I'll report back in month or so and give you HIS review!
BTW, Fitness Factory and Body Solid were GREAT!
Well, my 2nd report is 8 months later, and my oldest son LOVES his dip station. He uses it every other day religiously and, in his words "abuses it like crazy" and says it stands up (no pun intended) to the test.

After reading the other reviews I have to agree this is a well built piece of equipment. It is heavy enough to handle people over 200 lbs and not flex, but it's light enough that it's not bad to move around if you have the space to move it fully assembled. I did not have trouble with the assembly like some had mentioned, while the directions are not well done they are adequate to get the job done. Don't allow that fact to affect your purchase. Overall I am really impressed with the unit!

This is a great product for the money. Solid and sturdy enough to hold my 230 pound body. However, this is not an easy tower to put together. The instructions consist of pictures that are difficult to follow at times. Still much worth the money and worth the assembly time.
