5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding weight rack
How complicated can a weight rack be? Not very. But this came in a flat box - easy to ship, easy to assemble. Looks good, and with half a ton of plates plus a 7 foot Olympic bar, as stable as they come. Superb home gym addition, highly recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, but it works
This product was a bit of a disappointment. The way that the chrome tubes attach to the frame is with a single hex bolt with a hex nut. The idea is that the hex bolt is tightened first and then the nut. Well, even after doing this the tube is wobbly, but what is worse is that I've managed to tear apart two of the hex bolts when trying to tighten them. On top of that, I've...

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for me, January 16, 2010

It was nice to recieve a product that met my standards. This tree can hold two olympic bars and both my sets of standard 300 lb sets perfectly with room for a few more of the smaller weights. Very beefy construction and very easy to assemble with a single 5/8 wrench for a total of only 7 bolts. Pegs are olympic size and chrome and come pre-lubricated. It came with touch up paint, but mine was crushed and dried up (not a big deal to me). It's nice that it has some wiggle room built in at the bottom so that when you place it where you want you can make it completely level before tightning the bolts. For the guy that said the bottom steel was 7 inches tall, we all know what we tell our wives but it's more like 4 inches high at the base, still good enough to work the calves though. One thing to note is that if you put in a standard olympic 7 foot bar in the tree and you have 8 foot ceilings like mine, it is a little cumbersome to get the bar in and out without hitting the ceiling but it does work.

Well, even after doing this the tube is wobbly, but what is worse is that I've managed to tear apart two of the hex bolts when trying to tighten them. On top of that, I've asked body solid to send me replacement bolts two times, and both times they sent me the wrong bolt! I'm going to go to home depot to get the right bolt. Anyway, the thing works but I expected more from body solid.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not good for bumpers, April 28, 2010

This is probably fine for normal weights, but my bumper plates don't really fit on here; the pegs are too close together.

5.0 out of 5 stars This weight tree is substantial, November 12, 2009

The 300lbs of weights that I have easily fits, with room to spare, on this large weight tree. The chromed arms are a nice touch and makes sliding the weights on and off easy. Spending a little more for this product was a good choice. Some of the other trees are pretty wimpy in comparison. The base feet are big(7 inches height). I use them to stand on for dumbbell calve exercises.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great rack, April 11, 2011

I looked at many weight trees before ordering this one. I have allot of plates and needed something heavy duty, but really didn't want to spend much money on something that does not directly contribute to getting stronger. When I saw the 1000lb rating and fairly reasonable price, I figured this was the tree for me. So far so good - I have this puppy loaded up with about 600 pounds, and I see no sign of stress at all.

One of the other reviewer is right- this tree does not accommodate bumper plates, and I have a set of 100lb plates that are also to big to fit properly. Additionally, if, like me, you have to store 35lb plates on the second pin, only very small plates will fit on the top pin.

Overall this is a very sturdy, heavy duty weight tree at a good price.

This product is built extremely sturdy. It can hold many Olympic plates ranging from 45lbs to 5lbs. I recommend this tree for anyone who has a complete weight set and bars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good weight tree for the money, August 21, 2011

This review is from: Body Solid WT46 Olympic Weight Tree (Sports)
I wanted a single weight tree that could hold all my weights. I have limited space in my garage and a lot of barbell weight. This weight tree was easy to assemble and is rock solid. The bottom pegs can hold 6 45 lb plates on either side, although there isn't ANY room to spare. The picture doesn't do a good job of showing it eiher, but the two bar holders on either side of the tree come in handy as well. I have a curl bar and a standard olympic bar that I keep slotted there when I'm not lifting. Overrall, I am really satisfied with this weight tree. It's easy to put together, and once it's together, it is sturdy and functional.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to a cluttered home gym, February 10, 2010

This weight tree works very well in my basement. It does exactly what it's advertised to do and seems quite sturdy.
The only thing I had any problems with was finding a good place where my floor was very level to place it.
