This is a solid soul CD. The music and the sounds of all the instruments were great. I will purchase all of Danny Krivit, Francois K. & Joe Claussell. If you need to move your soul and shake the bones in your body , this CD is a must. Just say it is GREAT GREAT !!!.

I've noticed that people NOT into House like this a lot better than Vol.1 & 3, because of its acid-jazziness (genre bending) and consistent sultry vibe, I liked this one the best too, and I AM a house-head... like Jungle Wonz said a few years back in Time Marches On... "You can't have the same for too long".

I thought it would be impossible for a CD to contain the vibe of a party, but Body and Soul Vol.2 comes as close as one can. I lose myself in this disc each and everytime I listen to it. From Dancin in Outerspace to, my favorite track, Black Gold of the Sun this CD promises to become a classic. For any house head, this CD is a must buy. See you on Sunday!!

Danny, Francois, and Joe take turns in the mix replicating the scene at their NYC Sunday afternoon soiree Body & Soul. Track one kicks off with sensational Cesaria Evora's SANGUE DE BEIRONA. This, the Body & Soul Mix, distinguishes itself by the jazzed house appeal. B&S dig in the crates for winter/spring anthem LOVE AND RESPECT (Joe's Spiritual Healing Version). Now THIS is what we were waiting for! DANCIN' IN OUTERSPACE follows as track 4, the FK remix. (That's Francois Kevorkian, aiight!) Afro-Cuban drum fans will feast on 6/8 DRUMZ (FK's House of Echoes Edit). Many upbeat house fans will argue, the disc doesn't really get moving till Jepthe Guillaume's IBO LE LE, track 6. Haitian house music at its finest. After a slight pause, listen for the uplifting anthem DON'T GIVE UP (Ricanstruction Vocal). Duane Harden fans, this track was written and produced by the man himself, with vocals by Melonie Daniels. Another top track to check for, 1999 Winter Music Conference anthem HE IS THE JOY by Donna Allen. Now THIS is Garage: Pomeroy & Tappert on production, wailing diva vocals AND extra crisp 4/4 rhythms. "Ev'ry day of my life, hey!" The Dream Team DJ's then take the pace down a thousand with yet another classic, I AM THE BLACK GOLD OF THE SUN (4 Hero Mix). Why is this track so dope? Classic producers (MAW), classic female vocalist (Jocelyn Brown) and classic remix (4 Hero). The song starts with a jazzed out rendition, and about 2:27 in, listen for the ambient breakdown. Phunky! And, just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, 4 Hero drops the Drum-N-Bass rendition. Breakbeat fans get up on this! Sweet, sweet music! If you've never been to Body & Soul, listen to track 12 where the intro captures the crowd cheering, whistling and chanting to WE HAD A THING by Abstract Truth. Another Classic Compilation, but in a different vein from Volume I.

I am a regular at Body & Soul on Sundays in New York and the culmination of such great house tracks on one CD is enough to give you goose bumps! You can't just hear the music, you've got to feel it. Joe C. is rockin' in this Vol II.

This cd is just a reflection of the best party of the weekend in NYC! The cd hits you hard and keeps rockin the whole way through. Francois K is the MAN--His sets rock and so does this CD--I can't even begin to say how much I enjoy This trio of DJ's that mix this CD and throw down every sunday. Pick this one up you will enjoy it!

ITS A DIFFERNT STYLE , BORING , JUST MUSIC , JUST 1 A VOCAL SONG KENNY BOBIEN , THE VOL 1 ITS A REAL REAL GOOD COLLETION

This cd had lots of potential in the beginning but I think it ended up being a disappointment. The tracks are good on their own but they don't belong together in a compilation. This cd flows terrible, thus my less than stellar rating. Drum & Bass and House mixed in the same compilation? Not yet anyway... I look forward to the person that can do it successfully. For all you houserats out there that want a nice flowing cd with superior beats try the third installment of the Body & Soul series (ironically shown as the cd cover for vol 2 at Amazon.com). It's a much better mix and the house is much deeper.
