5.0 out of 5 stars a new alternative treatment
This book explores the in depth of the use of kinesiology (muscle testing), a method of asking the body simple questions to help in treatment. It also explains how the treatment is done in an easy to understand way, with photo illustrations. The book explains how the basic skills can be used by anyone to help friends and family.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a manual, but a pricey overview
I am not sure if the reviewers were reviewing the book or the modality.

The book is a slim 157 pages with lots of white space and large type. There isn't much to it at all. You can probably read it all within two hours. The basic premise of BodyTalk takes up one page. It's 5 bullet points. The treatment principles are 4 bullet points. The book contains many...

While the concept of this book is very alien to AMA thinkers, I have had excellent results with similar treatments that I would never have thought possible. I don't argue with results, and there is obviously a lot we still don't understand about the brain and the human body.

For those who are not satisfied with the restrictions of traditional medicine, this book explains an alternative worthy of consideration.

5.0 out of 5 stars BodyTalk brings it all together, April 25, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Body Talk System: The Missing Link to Optimum Health (Paperback)
As a practitioner all I can say is that this book is a must have. BodyTalk will redefine the standard you have for health care. Going off of the basis of Nada Yoga breathing technique and Kineseology, Body Talk is a system without diagnosis and without medication or manipulation on it's most basis levels while addressing issues of the bodymind on the levels of mental, physical, and spiritual. It is a non invasive technique that deals with contact points on the acupunture channels and harmonizing the chakras with such body systems as the endocrine, the organs, DNA, viral infections, allergies, sprains, scars. It also deals with the energy levels of consciousness, five elements, chakra balancing, and wei chi. While not a cure for all ailments in itself, bodytalk is a complementary therapy designed to help keep the body and mind in balance. My only grievance with this modality is the lack of hard scientific tests that have been run to validate the claims of the patients and the practitioners. If it truly did all they said it facilitates, I would like to think they would subject it to the most rigorous tests, but they seem to believe that having a doctor who also practices is validation enough. I hope the future yields a more open mind on all sides.

5.0 out of 5 stars BodyTalk - a fresh & effective approach to health, September 15, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Body Talk System: The Missing Link to Optimum Health (Paperback)
This book changed the way I view health, disease & medicine. Written in an engaging manner, the book covers theory and describes techniques that are clearly illustrated and easy to apply. These techniques are simple, safe & subtle - yet extremely powerful. I am using the BodyTalk system with my patients and results are fast & amazing. Apart from feeling better, many of my patients chose to study the BodyTalk system themselves so that they can take care of family members and friends. This book is a MUST for all health care practitioners.

5.0 out of 5 stars A New Health Paradigm is Here---This is a must read!, September 7, 2000

As a doctor of chiropractic, I am very interested in any method that allows the body to function at its optimum potential. Recognizing the body as a "whole" with interconnecting communication systems is the main secret to allow for an environment for health. The BodyTalk System brings this concept out of the shadows and into the bright light. This book gives a thorough discussion of the technique and the rational behind it. It also causes the reader to evaluate their understanding of how the body works. I've used the System in my clinic for a few years now with fantastic results. As the developer of this unique work, John Veltheim, has put together the main concepts in a fashion that makes people understand and desire to experience BodyTalk for themselves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Body talk is light years ahead of almost any other healing modality including acupuncture, August 5, 2007
This review is from: The Body Talk System: The Missing Link to Optimum Health (Paperback)
I became interested in Body Talk when I witnessed a body talk session bring someone out of a 2 month long schizophrenic episode. I then went on to learn it myself.

Body Talk (By John Veltheim) and Body Electronics (as taught by Douglas Morrison) are the 2 most powerful healing modalities I've come accross (along with yoga and meditation), and I've studied many, many healing techniques since childhood.

This book is well written and teaches the basics of body talk which are easy to learn and apply.

Initially a skeptic, I am now a believer in and supporter of Bodytalk. After reading this book, I recently attended the introductory classes. I have now first hand seen family member's chronic pain disappear in minutes and complete strangers sob as repressed memories/pain are released. This book lays a great foundation for the enormous power of this energy medicine framework.

The Body Talk System is a quantum advance in energy healing in its reliance on Innate Wisdom to guide priorities for each step of treatment, and in its focus on rebuilding energy-communication links within the body/mind. It is a carefully designed, precise and thorough system which is highly effective for all kinds of disorders.

The book gives an overview of Body Talk's basic principles and methods, but training is essential to use the system for oneself or others...

5.0 out of 5 stars How to listen to your body, April 23, 2008
By
This review is from: The Body Talk System: The Missing Link to Optimum Health (Paperback)
This is brilliant energy medicine. I was so excited to learn this modality I immediately sourced out the nearest practictioner/trainer. BodyTalk is a perfect example of how we can heal ourselves without debilitating, dangerous drugs, just by listening to what it's telling us. Kinesiology is almost infallible in telling us what's right, wrong, good, bad, and what our body needs or doesn't need. It's easy, fast, and incredibly effective. When everyone finally 'GETS' this, we'll only need hospitals for sewing up stitches. Everything else is able to be resolved with energy medicine, like BodyTalk. If you don't believe we can heal ourselves, or you want to learn how, get this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE Breakthrough to balance the WHOLE BodyMind System, January 2, 2002
By
Claudia Heitmann (Balzan, Malta/Europe) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Body Talk System: The Missing Link to Optimum Health (Paperback)
BodyTalk founder Dr. John Veltheim manages to give a sound theoretical and practical introduction to The BodyTalk System™. Alongside with many case histories and photos/illustrations, he gives a very good insight into this state-of-the-art system.
Anyone reading this book, `gets the BodyTalk Fever' and definitely wants to learn more about this so very different holistic and balancing method, in order to deal with the `fever'.
A "must-read" for the responsible practitioner, for the application of BodyTalk is absolutely safe and effective plus astonishingly simple. With BodyTalk the BodyMind is given the chance to find its own balance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding alternative medicine modality, April 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Body Talk System: The Missing Link to Optimum Health (Paperback)
The founder of this healing system, Dr. John Veltheim, says it all. It takes about a week of training at a course in Florida to learn how to do Bodytalk. Practitoners typically charge $50 to $60 for one session. A trustworthy & unbiased friend of mine wrote: "I am truly amazed at the seemingly miraculous ability of the human body to heal itself spontaneously and permanently once it is opened to its own inner wisdom. Once I had a personal experience of it on my arthritic knees and had also seen countless 'terminal' conditions such as cancer and aids healed, I promised John I would spread this Bodytalk system everywhere I go."
