Book Description

September 20, 2005
Undercover officer Stan Boyko, relocated to Winnipeg after his cover is blown in Vancouver, thinks a new assignment in his hometown will mean a fresh start. But, Stan soon finds himself working the meaner streets of the city, exposing a mess of lies and dirty dealings at a national forensic lab. Meanwhile, Sonja Sepsik is smuggled out of Ukraine by her brother, and sold into a prostitution ring in Winnipeg. A chance meeting between Sonja and Stan gives the undercover officer a direct pipeline into the illegal activity, and gives Sonja the hope of escaping a life on the streets. But, when a brutal murder is committed, Sonja and Stan became tangled in a web or corruption that runs deeper than either of them ever imagined.
