Although I enjoy Montel's show and hold a great deal of respect for him, I would have to say that this book was 90% fluff. There was a lot of hemming and hawwing about this and that without much clear, concise instruction. I think that readers would be much happier with Bill Phillips' 'Body-For-Life.' Montel Williams and his personal trainer, Wini Linguvic's fitness book is more than just a book of great photos and clear exercise descriptions. It is about focus, believing in yourself and making positive changes. It is about strength and control. It is a philosophy of living. And, mostly, it is about attitude.

Yes, you can do it. That's the inspiring message on every page of this book. Montel himself is grappling with a chronic illness, multiple sclerosis. And yet he just keeps going, understanding that as he pushes his body, he is empowering himself in every aspect of his life. Wini's been his trainer for the past five years and he attributes her approach to training as not only changing his body, but to changing his life.

Wini has lived this philosophy all her life. She's been training her body since she was a teenager and training clients for the past 15 years. As she says, "It's not just my body I've built in the gym." She's helped people achieve more results than they ever though they could achieve and now, together with Montel, she is reaching out to a larger public. Step by step, she takes you through the exercises and the clear photographs and descriptions make them especially easy to follow. They're very basic, but what is different is the philosophy behind them, the BodyChange philosophy. She guides you through the motions of the exercises and also guides you through the changes in thinking that will help you succeed. By following her program for just 21 days you will begin to form the habits that will last you a lifetime.

I'm proud and delighted to say that I'm Wini's mother. It's a joy to know how much she contributes to the world by devoting her life to helping people shape their bodies and attain their goals. She's quiet, strong and determined. There are a lot of photos of Wini in the book and she looks beautiful. But her beauty goes much deeper than that. Reading her words will help you understand. There is inspiration to gain from this book. Everyone can benefit from it. Highly recommended.

I love this book! I picked it up for the pictures (beautiful)--and bought it because of the trainers personal fitness story--which I read in the bookstore. It inspired me to workout that evening--as i felt she was talking to my sense of strength. The first part of the book is inspirational to anyone that wants to take control of their fitness. The second part is the program itself. I can do it at home-- I am using my son's weight set to do the program. The only thing I had to buy was the Swiss ball. The exercises are interesting--some of them I never saw before--yet they make sense--full body exercises. The instruction is clear with each exercise and the tips Wini gives make sense to remember during my workout.. So far--feeling good--looking forward to a video companion.

This workout program is for the beginner, intermediate and advanced. My husband and I started out with intermediate and can't get over the results in 21 days! We eat healthier, love the committment to personal time with each other and our energy and mindset is lifted. Especially with a 4year old and 18month old! Highly recommend to anyone who wants guaranteed results physically and mentally and at any fitness level!

I have previously tried the workout portion of the "Body for Life" (BFL) program, and while it is nice to just do the weights 3 times per week, I was limited in the amount of weights I could lift more by how heavy a dumbbell I could hold than by the weight my muscles could do.

I have now begun this workout, and while I have been sick several times in the 4 weeks I have been doing it (I have a 3-year old, and seem to catch everything!), I do like this workout. It is with weights I can lift, and seems to work my muscles more at a lower weight than the BFL workout. I can also do the workout at home more easily, so that I only have to visit the gym on the aerobics days (easier to explain to a 3-year old than daily visits). The workouts are the same length as BFL, which I like - but it is also a full body workout every time, which I like even more (BFL is either upper or lower).

I also like the concept of 3 weeks at a time - I figure I can do anything for 3 weeks. Also, the theory is that habits form in that amount of time - good reason for the length.

I wish everyone who tries this program lots of luck.

If you're looking for a didactic that will inspire as well as instruct, this is the one you need to purchase. I belong to a gym and have used a trainer there for instruction, but that didn't compare to what I learned in this book. Montel Williams is an inspiration to us all as he deals with multiple sclerosis in such a positive way and his collaboration on this book with Wini Linguvic makes it one of the best fitness books I've seen. I highly recommend this one!

I am always confused as to what to do at the gym---this book lays it out in a simple format with the clearest pictures ever. Montel writes his personal story--but it is his trainer that explains the exercises and the inspiring details about being a strong woman. I brought this book to the gym with me and it helped me more than the free training session I had gotten. I went to a book signing in Dallas and they were gracious and Wini was happy to answer the questions i had about a specific exercsie. She actually got up and showed me and made sure I understood. I would definitely recommned this book to anyone that wants to start working out!

I bought this book being a little weary of it, My husband told me about the woman who weighed 410 lbs and lost 300 of it using the bodychange program. I decided to give it a try and I lost 20 lbs in the first month. The only thing it needs to make it even better is more nutritional information. Give examples of what foods to eat and exactly what she means by low carbs, what is considered low? I recommend this book to anyone needing to get in shape. all thats needed is a few weights and a swiss ball. Give it a try, you'll see a difference soon.

We all know it only takes a couple of weeks to make something you do into a habit. Why not make it a good habit?

This book has something for everyone. For the beginner, there is inspiration, clear written instructions and great photographic instruction. For the former athlete, there are guidelines to getting started again. For the avid exerciser, there is a back-to-basics reality check.

Best of all the authors don't tell you what to eat!

This book has the best pictures. I can take it to the gym and follow along. A long time ago a trainer told me not to use machines--but to use free weights. Hem did not explain why and I stuck to my machines instead. But now that I am following Wini's routine I understand. She explains the importance of real life fitness. I changed everything I do in the gym and i can feel a difference. I am on the advanced routine and can't wait to check off another 21 days.

This book puts the "ALL" in the phrase "It's ALL good !!!". A very strong and powerful book. It will open your eyes and release a passion within you to strive for a more positive and better you. It will take your inner self to new heights than you ever thought possible. This is not just another book about discipline and vigorious workouts; it goes much deeper than that. Wini and Montel enlighten you to a journey on discovering yourself through the art of exercise. You will experience the release of untapped energy and resources that you didn't even know existed in you. The body change and physical attributes you will experience is mirrored by the height of confidence and positive attitude you will reflect. Training in color, moving mountains, believing in yourself, and truth are just several positive mindsets which will heighten and enrich your well being throughout life.
