When starting to work-out/walk/run again after baby arrived I was plagued by inner thigh chafing where I still carry a few pounds. I raided my husbands closet for his BodyGlide (he uses it for marathoning and all kinds of USMC activities) and low and behold--I love this stuff! When I first put it on and touched the skin it *seemed* like it was going to be tacky and just make my problem worse BUT IT DIDN'T! After three steps I forgot it was there. I'm out for an hour at noon on the beach trail and hills pushing a stroller getting hot and sweaty and this stuff holds up. I'd pay triple what they're asking for it because it SAVES me.

RUNNERS - Don't blister or chafe - GLIDE!,

As a marathon runner this stuff is a must-have. Anywhere you have skin on skin or clothing on skin contact is susceptible to chafing - typically areas under your underarms, upper inner thigh, inner bicep, etc. For me I can't go more than about 6 miles in loose running shorts before the fabric causes chafing on my thighs.
I don't use this when running in compression shorts or tights, of course. Vaseline is a cheap fix but it stains and doesn't last very long. Aquaphor lasts a little longer. This stuff has a waxy component that makes it stick around. DON'T USE TOO MUCH! You don't need as much as you might think, if you use too much you will stain your clothes (looks like an oil stain) and it's not cheap. I also use it in the appropriate places when I do long distance cycling. Also good for your feet and hands to prevent blisters. Plus: Lasts all day Handy applicator Less less than alternatives Minus: Pricey Faint smell (not a bad smell, but noticable) Some minor staining if you use too much If you have questions or comments, or found this review helpful, please let me know!

so we tried it per a recommendation.
im up in the air its really pricey, and after a long day it DID limit the chaffing BUT we still had some. i got a pair of skin tight under armour underwear for hiking and eliminated it all together..

I bought this at the suggestion of a friend who is a triathlete. I had bought new hiking boots and was getting blisters between my toes when I went hiking. I applied this products between and around my toes and spent a week hiking in Yosemite and no blisters! I didn't have any discomfort whatsoever. So it worked perfectly. The only very minor downside is that it doesn't fit between the toes. But you can use your fingers to apply it.

Great for long distance runners,

I was very happy with this product and it was helpful for me when I run long distances (over 5 miles). I've found that it has really smoothed out running and any friction that might otherwise chafe.
My one gripe would be that it seems to crumble a little at first, so I will get crumbs coming off the edges when I use it. It's minor, but annoying when I step on those crumbs on a tile floor...

Better than petroleum jelly,

What a joy to find a product that works as advertised. Body Glide helps prevent chafing. It works well and it lasts a long time. Before Body Glide, you were limited to using other ointment-like products or band aids or other tapes for problem chafing areas. Petroleum jelly works pretty well but eventually it melts and disappears. Before half marathons and full marathons, I rub Body Glide on my feet, around the elastic band part of my heart rate monitor (but not near the HR sensors), and all of the other usual suspect places. I've never had any chafing trouble ever when I've used it.

Body Glide has turned potentially painful activities such as running and hiking into pure blister-free bliss. I can now apply a (VERY) thin coat of Body Glide to "problem areas" before I head out for an activity and I hardly have to worry about any kind of chaffing or heat rash the rest of the day. I've even used Body Glide on my flippers before going snorkeling for several hours on my last trip to Hawaii. I never got the usual heel irritation or blistering that accompanied this same activity every time before.
Whether you are heading out for a short run or a full-marathon, Body Glide is an absolute MUST! I swear by this product for all physical activity. It even helps with breaking in new shoes!

It does exactly what it says. I ran 18 straight miles and never got any redness, swelling, or burning between my legs, as opposed to when I used to run without using an anti-chafing product. It made the run that much more comfortable.

Super convenient!!! I have been looking for an anti-chafing product in the speed stick style for years now. Let me tell you, if chafing is what ails you this is the product for you. I am involved in a lot of extracurricular activities that cause chafing; I never leave home without this product!

I use BodyGlide while doing long cycle rides and find it to work very well at preventing chafing. Without it I regularly get rubbed raw in the wrong places. It's a bit expensive but if you have ever had adult diaper rash, it's worth every penny and then some.
