Effective, but expensive,

I ordered a tube of this to prevent chafing from running. It works better than the body glide stick, but the 1.6oz tube is pretty small and it doesn't last very long. If there were larger sizes or the price was closer to that of other products like Chamois Butt'r, I might purchase it again. Right now though, the price per ounce just doesn't make it a good buy for as frequently as I run.

This is a review that makes me wary of providing... TMI - too much information. So I'll try to be discrete.I bought my first tube of BodyGlide Liquified Powder before my first Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay race, a 24 hour, 200 mile relay race. Each participant ran 3 segments, overall averaging about 4-5 miles per segment. However, there weren't a lot of opportunities for changing, and I was concerned about potential chaffing in ... sensitive areas. At the eleventh hour, however, all the sport lubricants locally were gone, purchased by the thousands of other participants. I did find one tube of this product, and I snatched it up in order to have SOMETHING! It worked. I tend to use it for longer races, 10K+. On a long run three days ago, I had some chaffing between the inside of my upper arm and my chest (weightlifting will do this to you). In a fast (for me... 44 minutes) 10K today, I smeared a little of this on, and... no worries. It goes on like a thin gel (thinner than, say, toothpaste, but it seems to be dry immediately, feeling of talc. And the absence of alcohol means no stinging. I'm about though my first tube, and I've just ordered my second. I haven't had any problems with ingredient separation, leaking, or staining fabrics. And I'm not limping after a race either. 'Nuff said.

I decided to try this as an alternative to the body glide advanced stick. I thought that since it's a cream, it would be more cost efficient.Five miles into my run, I started to feel burning in my inner thighs. By ten miles into the run and after another application, I was already bleeding. Now, I've got two burns that wrap from my inner thighs to the back of my legs. This product actually made the chaffing WORSE than if I'd have used nothing. Normally, I can go for about 15 miles until I start chaffing with NO product. This stuff is horrible. I'm so angry that I'm not even going to go back to the stick style body glide. I'm going to find another brand altogether.

Why pay DOUBLE?,
This review is from: BodyGlide Liquified Powder - Tube - 1.6 oz (Misc.)
I need this for an upcoming trip to Italy to keep my heels from blistering. I was happy to see from other reviews that it seems to perform well, though it is very expensive. At 15.99 for 1.6 ounces, it just doesn't make sense. When I found it at REI for $8.00, it really seemed ridiculous to pay double for it! I usually find Amazon to be very competitive with their pricing, but they missed this time.

I'm training for a (walking) marathon & a half in hot, steamy Southern California. There's nothing like being in the California sun for 7 hours straight with all your moving parts constantly moving. I've had major problems with chafing, severe swelling, blisters and terrible heat rash on my feet. I've used Body Glide stick, petroleum jelly, powder, etc., etc., etc. None of them worked as well as this product. I did 22 miles two days ago and re-applied after mile 12. NO heat rash, blisters or chafing in the areas where I applied it. Was able to do 10 more miles the next day on feet that didn't hurt -- for the first time. The product is pricey -- no doubt. But when I'm nursing a blister, I can't really put a price on being able to move without pain or injury when I'm training or during an event.

Eliminates chafing,

Although this product is expensive, I will probably buy more again when I run out. It is much easier to apply than the stick and it works great against chafing. A little goes a long way. It does leave a white residue on black clothing, but it washes out. As other reviewers noted, the tea tree oil leaves a medicine like smell and tingle that quickly goes away. Overall, a great product. I would also recommended the shipper as it arrived very quickly.

I've used the stick version of this product before, but was always sort of grossed about about sharing it or using it anywhere else on the body after it was on my feet. This cream version is much better, although it is pricey. The gross factor was gone, I thought it was easier to apply, and it worked great! Plus it makes your feet nice and soft - Bonus!
