Small size great for hiking/backpacking,
By smaug1000 "glo" (Arizona) - See all my reviews
This review is from: BodyGlide Sun Screen Stick (Misc.)
I have been using this product for years to prevent chafing on my feet while hiking. Previous reviewers were obviously not concerned with weight. I have been carrying the larger size in my backpack for years. Not only is it good for chafing but the same stick can be used as emergency sunscreen. I am thrilled to find the smaller size as I keep this in my pack for unforseen problems, not for regular use.

perfect combo for hot climates!,
This review is from: BodyGlide Sun Screen Stick (Misc.)
While Bodyglide is popular with runners, that's not its only purpose and I imagine the utility of the sunscreen/antichafing combo would depend on your needs. This version was perfect for hiking and general use in the Caribbean. While some of the spots that might generally rub or chafe don't get sun contact, the combo of sunscreen and glide was perfect for spots like the tops of my feet (where sandal straps rub) or my shoulders (for backpack straps). Topping that with the convenience of having only one product to carry for both needs and the fact that it's a great after-sun soother (for when you forget to apply it before going outside!) and this is a great hot climate travel companion. At one point, when not able to find this kind, I did use the regular Bodyglide and found that I also like the consistency of this 2-in-1 stick better.
Bottom line -- each Bodyglide product fits a different niche. This one is perfect for me -- someone who's just using the stick for running purposes may be fine with the regular version. Please note -- I did not order this product under this listing -- don't know anything about the advertised size versus the shipped size.

Sunscreen for where the sun don't shine!,

Sorry, but this seems really counterintuitive - perhaps I'm missing something.
Any place you need Bodyglide is a place you have chafing or blistering concerns. That pretty much means you aren't going to need sunscreen there. The only way I can think you'd need this is if you're doing a tri and want this where your wetsuit rubs, but then what will you do for the rest of your body in the bike and run portions? Get the regular Bodyglide - this seems like a gimmick to me.

This is not the big size stick. It is teeny tiny. very misleading and basically useless. Bummer.
