5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive guide to your best body!
I love this book! It is jam packed with info to help you achieve a buff body. In the past I have found many of "Musclemag International's" books to be slim in both pages and information. Not this book. It packs a walloping 320 pages and is larger than average. The material given covers almost everything you would want to know about perfecting your physique...

1.0 out of 5 stars All Fluff and No Real Content
I bought this book because I'm a gym and fitness addict and also suscrible to Oxygen magazine which is a MuscleMag publication. I expected this book to provide some real information on women's fitness and bodybuilding. I was really disapointed to see that it was nothing more than pictures of fitness models and fitness competitors. All the topics covered in the book are...

Not this book. It packs a walloping 320 pages and is larger than average. The material given covers almost everything you would want to know about perfecting your physique. It includes not only tons of detailed info. on weight training and nutrition, but also gives information on makeup, surgery, fitness competitions etc. Lots of solid advice. The book also includes a number of black and white photos of fitness models like Debbie Kruck, Brandi Carrier, Monica Brant and others. I think this is one of the best fitness books for women on the market!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!, January 9, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Bodyfitness for Women: Your Way to Physical Perfection (Paperback)
I have had this book since it first came out a few years ago and find myself flipping through it often for advice. There are lots of inspiring pictures. The advice given in this book is very useful for the novice or experienced fitness enthusiast. There is information about equipment, routines, diet recommendations, competition advice, terminology, how to avoid injuries, working out during pregnancy, advice on how to do a workout at home, cosmetic surgery and the list goes on and on. I sell most of the books that I buy but this one I will keep forever. I recommend this book for anyone who is interested in getting in shape the right way.

I expected this book to provide some real information on women's fitness and bodybuilding. I was really disapointed to see that it was nothing more than pictures of fitness models and fitness competitors. All the topics covered in the book are only covered on a very, very superficial level. I did not learn a single thing that I didnt' already know. This book really isn't worth the money, in fact I ended up returning it and buying another bodybuidling book published by Human Kinetics.

I am interested in body building for fitness (beginner).
I was thoroughly [cheesed off] as I read this book and so was my husband. It's not a serious book it's all about showcasing women who have built their bodies to enter contests. They're not beautiful maybe one or two are,But I did not by this book to look at women I bought this book thinking it had speical form pointers, advice and tips for women trying to bodybuild since It's a lot tougher for the avg woman to build muscle, tone etc.
All I got was stuff I already knew avg stuff at that, something anyone could have figured out with common sense. I am [more than mildly irritated]. On the other hand I bought a very good book That I was pleased with by Frank Melfa(Bodybuilding a realistic approach & Strength training anatomy (diff auth), I was pleasantly pleased and found these two books to be helpful, practical and very informative not only that but I showed this book to a fitness trainer who I couldn't afford and they too thought these two books were excellent book guides/references.

Seller was great! Information inside however was redundant to what you already read in magazines.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Impressed Basic Information, August 11, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bodyfitness for Women: Your Way to Physical Perfection (Paperback)
Basic information. These gals surely did not get these rock hard bodies based on the information/workouts/frequency of the book. If you are wanting to get into bodybuilding/reshaping, I would suggest seeking a qualified nutritionist and personal trainer so that you can get on a eating and workout plan based on your speicif body and what results are you seeking.

5.0 out of 5 stars These girls are hot!!!!!!!!!, August 22, 2000

This review is from: Bodyfitness for Women: Your Way to Physical Perfection (Paperback)
My girlfriend left her copy of this book at my apt. I was thouroughly impressed with the amount of information in this book. One thing that I was most impressed by were the pictures. I could not believe how beautiful and finely sculpted these women's bodies were!!!! They are bringing the womens physic on to the next level. Fitness models in this book like Monica Brant, Amy Fadhli, Lena Johanessen, and Brandi Carrier should definitely think about putting out a calendar....these girls are hot!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Completely Statisfied, August 23, 1999

This review is from: Bodyfitness for Women: Your Way to Physical Perfection (Paperback)
I ordered this book through another source and didn't have the opportunity to find out what it really was about. When I received the book I was nothing but pleased. This has everything in it you want to know, obviously in someone's opinion something will be missing but it is the closest thing I have found to include as much information as this book does.
