5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! Wish I'd had this on previous trips!, June 8, 2010

I have chronic problems with rubbing blisters on my toes when I travel. No matter what kind of shoe/sock combination I've tried, the only thing that seems to work is putting band-aids or mole skin on the toes before I get the blisters.

I had read rave reviews about Body Glide from people who run marathons, and figured I'd give it a try.

Took it on a 10-day trip to Paris. My husband and I easily walked 5+ miles per day in Paris. I put Body Glide (took the small travel size) on my feet every morning.

Result--not a single blister! I can hardly believe it. The marathoners weren't kidding--this stuff really works!

I've bought more of the travel size for my son, who is an avid backpacker. His last attempt at a section of the Pacific Crest Trail was wonderful except for his blisters. Let's hope Body Glide works as well for him as it did for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars works great!, January 10, 2012

I've used this for long horseback rides (4-6 hours a day in the saddle) in various places around the world and it works like a charm. Gone are the terrible saddle sores I used to get - just make sure you use it *before* the chafing begins. It stings a little when you apply it and smells faintly industrial, but whatever they've put in this really WORKS. You need to apply it anywhere saddle sores might develop, including on the insides of your thighs/calves if you're riding with unfamiliar tack.

Also works great for foot blisters, so as a travel item this is worth carrying for multiple purposes.

One stick lasts a long time. This small size is great for travel.

This, plus calamine powder (anti-monkey butt!) and Dr. Scholl's moleskin as a backup will keep saddle sores from interfering with a long ride.

I was very happy with bodyglide (and it's almost time to get another stick). I've had no more chafing problems during long runs. My girlfriend also uses it on her feet for shoes that rub in weird places. My only advice would be to go ahead and get the bigger size. This one is pretty small.
