Like James Buffinet in his previous review, I use this product to prevent my thighs from chafing when running. I have also found that it works infinitely better than the BodyGlide anti-chafe stick. Using the anti-chafe stick, chafing was pretty much inevitable on my long runs because the product itself would melt off, be absorbed into my clothing, etc. after a certain amount of mileage. I had even tried combining application of the stick with application of baby powder to try to prevent the chafing, which works somewhat better than the stick alone. However, now that this product has come out, I no longer have to worry about chafing. I have used it for runs of up to 18 miles without experiencing any chafing whatsoever. It stays on, lasts, and prevents chafing in a way that the stick (with or without the combination of baby powder) was unable to do.

It is entirely different than the stick in terms of ingredients and feel upon application. Whereas the stick feels sort of similar to Vaseline with more staying power when it's applied, the liquified powder, as its name suggests, feels sort of like lotion immediately upon application, and, then, within seconds, it dries completely and feels as if there is nothing there. The only thing that will remind you that it is present is that it contains tea tree oil so it has a slightly medicinal scent. Because it does not use the same ingredients to prevent chafing as the stick, the liquified powder does not leave clothes with a greasy residue after runs like the stick does either, which is nice.

I would definitely recommend this product over the anti-chafe stick. As James Buffinet said in his review, it does seem to be more expensive than the stick because, at least for me, it usually takes one whole packet (there are 9 packets per package) per run, whereas the stick lasts for many more applications than 9 runs. However, they appear to have come out with this product in a 1.6 oz. tube since I ordered these packets, possibly to address that issue, and you may want to order that if you think you will be regularly using the product. (I haven't actually had to order the product again so I can't say for certain that the tube is the exact same as these packets.) Again, as James Buffinet said in his review, if the stick works for you and you don't mind its greasy residue on your clothes after runs, go ahead and continue using it. However, if you continue to experience problems with chafing despite application of the stick, or if you dislike the greasy residue left on clothes after application of the stick, you should definitely try this product instead. It works extremely well.

I use it for running. My inner thighs would get raw so I bought this and the stick. It works and feels ALOT better than the stick But is more expensive...if the stick is enough then use that but this is definatly better...I only gave it 4 stars because I think its over priced.

I had used the bodyglide stick before, and although it did its job, it was a little messy and prone to crumbling, and not practical at all to carry around. This liquified powder is even better at preventing chafing, can be applied without any mess and lasts longer. I also like the fact that I can take the packet with me in case I need to reapply. It's not cheap when you look at the volume, but a little goes a looong way and I'll definitely buy more when I run out.
