The bands were way more than i was hoping for. Compared to other workout bands in the market these bodylastics bands are clearly on a class of their own. From the surgical grade rubber tubing, the high quality metal clips and all the other attachments. These guys here really paid attention to detail in every conceivable way. the metal clips even have an engraved number of the weight/tension that particular band is. Bottom line these things do what they advertise in that they will replace your whole gym. If you did your research on them, bands are really a great way of working out because they work quite differently than free weights or machines as they are gravity bound. These bands use the resistance of the rubber tubing to generate tension and so the more you pull, the higher the resistance and all that tension is put at the "top" of that repetition as opposed to weights where the work is pretty much done once your actually at the end of that repetition motion. You'll know what I'm talking about once you start training with these bands. Also if you're on the P90X workout, the basic set is all you need no matter how strong you are believe me! If you really are super strong and you need more bands, just go to[.]and you can order heavier individual bands for very cheap (like for the price of a 5 lbs. dumbbell) Hope this was helpful!

Very nice product.I was thinking about purchasing the "Tower 200" but saw this set with the [black band] for
around $70.00. It will do every thing the tower will do and save you $140.00.It comes with a bag so its completely portable.
The bands come with nice aluminum clips that allow quick and easy hook ups. The handles are wrapped in high density foam. Each handle comes with a steel attachment ring. The door anchor is large and very secure . Resistance levels will keep even old python arms happy. If you are in the older crowd the bands for you too. They are very easy on the joints. I'm in my late forties and think that I will be able to use these bands for years. I think resistance bands are the way to go! If you looking for something to help you get in shape and stay in shape that's easy to use and won't drain you bank account then Bodylastics are for you.

These bands have a very quality look and feel. The attachment systems are metal and much better than the ones you can get at local sporting good stores. Unfortunately, one of the bands snapped on me which is why I'm returning my set. I disagree strongly with the "GREAT FOR USE WITH P90X" statement in the description. I came across several compatibility issues when using these bands with P90X. Firstly, the program moves quickly and you will need to pause after every exercise to setup the correct bands on the handles or move from the floor to the door anchor which can break your routine and get annoying quickly. Secondly, I know one of the features is the adjustability of the band weights by combining several bands but combined with the first issue and the need to create sets of bands for each exercise is painful. Thirdly, the carabiner system used to attach multiple bands to the handles creates a large section that is not elastic ie. handle + nylon handle strap + metal ring + carabiner + nylon elastic holder. This is not ideal for several exercises that require sitting or bending. There simply isn't enough elastic band to make these exercises work. If you are going to follow the exercises in the included booklet these should be great as long as they don't snap.

Just received my new set, and my first impressions are very positive. As others have mentioned, it's the details that make this a high quality set, such as the carabiners used for connecting the bands to the handles, which are sturdy and easy to put on and take off, allowing you to adjust the resistance quickly. The support materials are adequate - the user guide shows detailed illustrations for dozens of exercises, and has easy-to-follow text. I haven't logged on to the web site yet to see the videos, but it's good to know they're available if I need them.

I think this is a great set for women in particular, since the 88 lbs total resistance with all four bands attached is more than enough for a good work out.

The best thing about this set is the way you can customize the resistance very easily. The handles are comfortable to hold, and appear well-made. The ankle straps are huge, but since they're mostly velcro, they can be adjusted reasonably well. The door strap is unique - it's got a soft foam "anchor" on one end and a loop for threading the resistance bands through on the other. You simply shut it in a doorway by closing the anchor on one side and leaving the loop free on the other.

I'm very pleased with this purchase, as I looked at many options on Amazon. I would highly recommend this set to other women looking for a simple system for a home gym. It comes with a small travel pouch, but I found that the box it came in is a better way to store it - that way nothing is folded up or kinked.

Update: I've had this set for five months now, and I wanted to update this review. The bands are very durable - the whole set is very well-made. I'm still impressed with the quality - for the price, it's a great value.

I'm posting part of an answer to a comment here, in case people don't click through to the comments, since it's an important addition to my review.

The biggest drawback to this system is the size of my "workout room".

To use them most effectively, you need plenty of floor space - and door space - with at least five feet of clearance. A lot the most effective exercises involve bracing the equipment in a door at different heights.

You can do everything from lat pull downs to leg extensions this way, but you need ample room and a door that closes in the the right direction - one that you can pull against without the door opening. Very important detail - you could get seriously hurt if the door opens and the anchor goes flying.

You can still get a good workout - lunges and bicep curls don't need the door brace - but to get a "full-body" workout, be aware that you're going to need room to move.

Depending on your floor, you may also want a yoga mat or at least a fluffy towel for cushioning.

The company web site is a great resource for workout videos, though. Check it out, but pay attention to the size of the room they're in - it's not a cluttered living room! If you've got a garage or a basement, you've probably got ample space.

I hope this information helps you make an informed decision.

The bands are as good as expected - nice hooks and bag, etc. One of the bands (the lightest one) broke while using. But, Bodylastics had a replacement on my doorstep within 3 days. That's nice service. I recommend them and if you are using for P90x, call their service department as they have tips for using the bands for P90x.

Bodylastics incorporated a new dynamic technology into their bands which, I believe, make them superior to any other band on the market today. Patented D.G.S. (Distance Governor Safety) anti-snap technology stops the bands dead when they've reached their maximum capacity. That means you can't stretch it too much and it won't snap.

Unfortunately, the latest upgrade didn't take place until after I made my purchase.

Bodylastics tubing is surgical grade. The company says they will last longer than the average tubing. The clips are well made and strong. This is one area it's superior to, for example, Gofit that many people report experiencing breaks at the plastic connectors.

The handles seem to be made well and I like being able to clip the bands on the handles and the ankle cuffs. Moreover, the door anchors are probably the best on the market. They easily go under the door or anywhere you might need them.

This particular set is certainly adequate for most women and probably the average man. I especially like it for leg work.

The bands are sturdy and the couplings secure. What's more, you get a large 76-page manual with the set, which is worth a lot. I'm quite impressed with that because there are not that many good books available for strength band users.

If you need strength bands or if you want to drop the weights and go with elastic resistance, this is a great set at a decent price.

One of the advantages of buying this system is your free 1-year membership to Strengthband University. Moreover, Blake Kassel (the characteristic president of the company) and his associate, Ashanti hold a live workout several times a week to keep everyone highly motivated.

I found great value in the StrengthBand University right off while I was on. The following are the first videos you'll see. They're highly valuable and a great help in using your system and getting the most out of it.

In addition to the above, there are lots of valuable programs that take you step-by-step into each exercise. Lots of the material is in the book but seeing it in videos is most helpful.

Bodylastics has several sites and lots of YouTube videos. They keep you motivated and teach you how to use your bands to get real benefit from them. You can also get on their forum and meet other people, like yourself, who are trying to reach their fitness goals.

As someone who has tried all sorts of fitness programs, I highly recommend this product, whether you get the set above or one of the other ones.

It's a good investment in your health and fitness. I personally think the price for this system is more than fair considering all you get and if the company lives up to its guarantee, you can't lose.

I've had these bands awhile now and love them. Have a bit of trouble with the clip sometimes. Doesn't want to clip without a little extra tinkering. I'm planning on getting the black band and the everywhere anchor next.

I do advise you that if you decide to buy Bodylastics products, you do so from Amazon. The shipping fee on the Bodylastics site is, in my opinion, far too high. On Amazon it's fair and reasonable. To show you the difference in companies, GoFit ships free. When a company goes to such extremes to tell how lightweight their product is and then charges $10.55 to ship two door anchors and one band or to ship one system, I personally find that a bit much. I believe Amazon charges $5.99.

I bought these bands because you can add them together for more weight. The construction seems good so far. I did rip one of the bands I believe because my shoe caused too much friction during some exercises. The company immediately sent me out a new band for free. I have since worn different shoes with less tread and have no problems. I like how the clips are metal and not plastic. All together they seem 100% better than the cheapo ones at Target.

I bought these for my twelve year old son with CMT a disease in the legs which makes him not as balanced and weaker in the legs. He has really been working to keep up his leg strength and I thought these would really help. They have been fantastic he has really built up muscle and is much more quick. for anyone that wants to become strong or has a disease making them weak these are for you!

I traveled a lot for my job over the past 8 months, living mostly in hotels. I am an athletic guy, and by no means am I an avid weight lifter. However, this allowed me to work my legs, arms, chest and back quickly and easily in small hotel rooms. The attachments allow you to secure the bands using bathroom or closet doors. The bands switch out easily from one exercise to the next or put them all together to add some serious weight resistance. I was able to work every major muscle in 15-20 minutes. If it wasn't easy or effective, I would never use it. It is a lot easier to motivate yourself to workout if you don't have to block out a lot of time from your day.

I researched many workout bands and I'm glad I did. By far this is the best work out bands I owned. They have metal clips and are very durable. I curl over 140pounds in free weights and these bands don't have a problem taking some serious strain.
