4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I thought
I bought this CD because I like to go jogging and music encourages me to keep going even though I am tired. It really doesn't have much of real latin music I think. There are a few songs from hispanic singers but they are all in English. One of them is "Conga" from Gloria Stephan, the other one is "Livin' la Vida Loca" with Ricky Martin, "Whenever" with Shakira,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Latin Cardio
Most of the songs are good remixes with BPM for cardio workouts. However, LaBamba was disappointing. Rather than a hard, driving beat like the regular song, it is sung by a woman who makes it a lighthearted, flirty song that's not as good for working out with. I bought this CD because I like to go jogging and music encourages me to keep going even though I am tired. It really doesn't have much of real latin music I think. There are a few songs from hispanic singers but they are all in English. One of them is "Conga" from Gloria Stephan, the other one is "Livin' la Vida Loca" with Ricky Martin, "Whenever" with Shakira, "Chocolate" which I do not know who the original singer is and "Banboleo" with another singer I do not know. "Banboleo" is the only song that is completely in Spanish I think but all the other ones are in English even though the singers are hispanic.
Another thing to mention is that the original singers do not sing these songs. The songs in this CD are being sung by other people but they do a pretty good job singing them. In general the songs keep you awake and give you the energy to exercise which is what I wanted.
I would have preferred to get songs completely in Spanish but I can't seem to find a cardio CD that offers that so far in Amazon. I will keep on looking for that in the future.

Also, it has 1 song way too slow toward the end, but it's not the last song so you can't use it for the cool down. My fitness class mostly enjoyed it, except the 2 songs I already described. I probably won't use it as often as some of my other cardio CD's because of that.
