I purchased through Amazon.com both of Bodywise Ltd's top-selling water-based lubricants - Liquid Silk and Maximus. I wanted to see if they really were less prone than Astroglide to drying out and becoming sticky. Both products are amazing. Actually, they're almost too good, because if you apply even just a few drops more than absolutely needed the activity becomes virtually frictionless; and, some amount of friction is always necessary. For water-based products, their endurance is great - at least 30 minutes without any need for re-application. The feel and performance of both Liquid Silk and Maximus are identical, the only difference being that Maximus contains no glycerin - a huge plus if the user happens easily to get UTIs. The only downside is that both Liquid Silk and Maximus contain glycol and parabens. So if either of those ingredients cause you any problems and you prefer a water-based lubricant, then your best bet will likely be one of the carrageenan-based products made by Oceanus Naturals and marketed by DreamBrands. I don't think they're yet sold through Amazon.com but hopefully that will change soon. Maximus 250 Ml Pump Bottle Lube

Maximus is much more full-bodied than other lubricants out there. It has a wonderful ability to adhere to lubricating surfaces even in very tight quarters... it doesn't become wiped away when the squeeze is on, but rather continues to maintain a slippery film between the moving parts.
If it is wiped off with a towel instead of being washed off, it doesn't leave a sticky, unpleasant residue like KY or ID will, but it isn't the nice smoothness that Liquid Silk delivers either... it is kind of neutral.
So,the bottom line is: in it's place, (the very tight squeezes that will have a lot of friction) Maximus can't be beat.

Purchased product on boy friend's recommendation. Said it worked wonders with his toys. For myself, MAXIMUS made for smoothest entry EVER. Makes one look forward to further adventures in the nether regions.

My partner and I purchased this lube intending to use it for anal sex. It is a very slick, high-quality lube. The only problem with it is that both my partner and I feel pain when using it. It burns a little for my partner, but he says that it's not too bad, but I really can't use this lube without excessive amounts of pain,which is too bad because it is very lubricating. So be careful.

"Maximus" is Latin for "The Greatest."

This is an excellent product.

Its best feature is that it is completely water soluble. A simple rinse will remove it from anything (including bedding and clothing). Its second best feature is that it has superior lubricating qualities.

It appears to have a shelf life of at least 4 years (as the expiration date on the containers I purchased says: "Best if used before Sep. 2012"). The 50 ml bottles are very convenient for purse or pocket, and, travel well even during outdoor adventures.

It is excellent for aiding intimacy in any circumstances.

The third thing I really appreciate about this is the classy and discrete packaging. I don't feel embarassed, with intimates, about packaging on this product;(unlike many lubricants for intimacy that involve flourescent colors, names and slogans that belong on the walls of bathroom stalls, or, shapes that commemorate images and concepts I learned in abnormal psychology classes).

This product has style and class. I, for one, welcome this marketing approach (finally) for this type of product.

This is the thickest water-based lube I've ever used, and it felt great with my wife, but it when it comes right down to it I'm a complete pervert. I like to be in her for a bit, and then go back down on her, sometimes even trade myself out for a toy to stimulate her more, and then go down on her some more before coming back up for the finish. The taste was really bad, and I'm used to using flavored lubes pretty much all the time. When I came up to finish inside of her, she told me the last thing she wanted to taste after I went down on her was me kissing her and her tasting herself. After I explained to her that she wasn't tasting herself; that it was the lube, everything worked out. We'd never had that problem before lol. I ended up dumping the whole bottle and cleaning it thoroughly just so I could use the pump bottle for some Wet Strawberry flavored lubricant I had with a pop top that was really messy. Now I'm probably going to purchase more of this to use with a Fleshlight I recently purchased...oh well. For the price on Amazon, its definitely worth it, but if you like to switch things up a lot like myself, just remember the taste can be very bad.

Purchased this product as a personal lubricant for myself whenever i felt like doing the deed with my hand, and it works wonders, just have to be careful not to apply too much unless you absolutely love the extremely loose feeling. It lasts for a while as well, no need to continuously re-apply unless you are going for that long.

After a little bit of using it for myself, i also used it for encounters with a certain toy that i have, this lube also worked wonders for applying directly on the toy, as well as the body cavity you wish to enter and proceed to enter with. Slipped in like it was nothing and kept a good slide going for a while.

After a little bit of using it for those two reasons, I got myself a better half, and used it with him, just as it did with the toy, it worked wonders, whether using a condom or not using a condom, it works both ways.

For those who desire to know, orally it doesn't taste that terrible, it isn't this 'warming' sensation or anything fancy like that, so the taste isn't much for my desire, but it's not flavored in any way, so it's just pretty blan and has a slight bitter taste to it.

While this lube may work fine for you, I found it to be unusable anally. I experienced a burning sensation when I applied it, rendering completely unusable. The reason I purchased this lube was because of its good reputation for anal, so it was a shame I could not use it. If you think you might be sensitive to parabens (which I have determined as the cause of the discomfort), I would suggest trying a different brand. ID glide gave me no problems.

The lubricant is pretty good without any doubt. The tamper-proof seal is really a bad design though. It's a narrow paper tape which can easily be broken during transportation.
