5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive coverage of each of the Boeing Jetliners., October 22, 1999
This review is from: Boeing Jetliners (Enthusiast Color Series) (Paperback)
This is a mini encyclopedia of Boeing Jetliners. It provides coverage from the 707 to the 777 (the 777-300 is a future product for the book) including the requirements that led to the design of each, design considerations, all the variants, civil and military, and unique features of each. This is a nice historical reference anytime you want to know more about a particular Boeing Jetliner complemented by beautiful photographic material to match the content. For an overall read about the birth and development of the giant airliner market with a focus on technology and progress consider "Giant Jetliners" by the same authors.

This book has plenty of colorful pictures that help teach the history, present, and future of the Boeing 7*7 series and how it has led the world to using jets.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Boeing Retiree Didn't want to let this one go!, January 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Boeing Jetliners (Enthusiast Color Series) (Paperback)
I bought this for my 9 yr old grandson who is nuts about airplanes. When it arrived my retired Boeing Engineer husband was fascinated with it and gave it a good review. I bought it for $8.00 originally and after 3 weeks, still hadn't received it. (Not an Amazon controlled product). I called Amazon and learned that the supplier had cancelled the sale with no notice or explanation. I went back on line to Amazon and found the same books for over $30 each! I paid $32. It originally sold for $12.00. Evidentally, there is a good demand for these books and that has driven the cost UP. I bought the darn thing because it was a week before Christmas, I didn't have time to find another and it looked perfect for my grandson. Which it turns out is exactly the case. I would sure like to know how to hold the supplier to their original offer; or at least have notice that they do not intend to honor the sale.
