Excellent and engaging history of a Texas Hill country town - Boerne -that mirrors the history of this beautiful area of this German settled area. Morgenthaler has a way of putting words together that kept me engaged in what could have been a very dry book. Excellent.

Be sure to read the epilogue - after you've read the book.

There are also pages of photographs as well for those that like... well, pictures. You know who you are.

Great little book.
