I love this album. Every song has its own personality and presence. I heard that Gerry has new songs on this year's tour, but I have not seen him live since earlier this year when he was touring with Rosie Shipley. Gerry is always a delight in concert, especially when he plays as part of the San Juan Capistrano Friends of the Library series. This album carries itself even if you've not been so lucky as to catch Gerry on tour, and creates a space in time as endearing as the best relaxing Sunday morning over tea, toast and jam.

After hearing several selections from this album on our locally produced Celtic music program, Toss the Feathers, I will definitely buy this. The selections played were lyrical & beautiful sweet acoustic guitar with a classical sensibility, presenting traditional Celtic music in a more soothing way than the rapid & headstrong method often used (although there is nothing wrong with that traditional style when you want it.) By describing it as "soothing", I don't want to suggest that it was slumber-inducing but reached into a style more representative of Andre Segovia and other classically trained acoustic guitar artists with the ability to transport you to another place. I refrain from giving it 5 stars simply because I have not heard the entire album.
