Book Description

March 2001
Keltora, Land of Magic and Myth, has produced many a hero, but none so skilled with sword and word as Conor Mac Manahan...

Conor is quite fond of telling tales of bogies and beansidhe alike to his adopted mageborn son Rhoyd, though there are times when the braw Keltoran mercenary with the heart of a bard exaggerates a wee bit, if you ask his wife Eithne. But to enter the mythical worlds of Conor’s imagination can have its risks, be it learning the truth behind a ghostly piper’s visitation or what lies at the heart of a brackish well in the woods.

So, join the fun. Warm yer heels by the fire as you follow the whimsical adventures of Conor, his healer wife Eithne and young Rhoyd in these three previously published and one new story. Readers of all ages will enjoy them...

This engaging trio captures you from the start and just don't want to let go. Conor, Eithne, and their adopted son Rhoyd take you along as they wander throughout Keltora. Laura Underwood weaves tales so believable that you'll be effortlessly thinking with a brogue before you finish this little book. Worth every cent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heroic Adventure, July 12, 2001
By

This review is from: Bogie Woods and Other Tales of Conor Manahan (Paperback)
Laura Underwood's set of short stories deal with a hero, his healer wife and their adopted son as they travel thru a land rich with magic. The characters are both real and larger-than-life filled with good humor and wit. The adventures are exciting, and they never follow the predictable path.

Look for the hero's wife, Eithne, in each story - she is the quiet one, but I think she's the pivot around which these stories turn.

I found these stories quite enjoyable.
