5.0 out of 5 stars Very good basic rain boots
This is a very good and sturdy pair of rain boots. Has been such a relief to not have to worry about avoiding puddles in rainy or slushy weather! The handles at the top make it easy to pull up the boots. The product is made of really good, durable material. 2.0 out of 5 stars not a winter boot
Bogs are acceptably comfortable and reasonably warm if you do not expect too much, but they are not a winter boot. Their grip on ice is the worst of any winter boot I have ever owned. The sole of the boot is totally inadequate for use in any slippery conditions. Bogs are best suited for working in your garden in Spring or Fall or walking inside a mall in winter.

The handles at the top make it easy to pull up the boots. The product is made of really good, durable material. Since the boots have no inside lining, one would need to wear thick socks though, in order to keep feet from freezing, so keep that in mind when considering the size.

5.0 out of 5 stars husband loves it, May 17, 2009

I really don't know if these boots work as noted in the reviews on the internet, but my husband who I bought them for (birthday present) was so excited when he tried them on, he almost did double backflips!! He has wide feet and he said they were the best fitting and most comfortable boot he had ever tried. He also fishes in the Chesapeake Bay, Virginia Beach, VA area during striper season (30 degree temps)and can never keep his feet warm. They seem to have all the attributes of the perfect boot. Will let you know in February during our coldest weather!! Thanks, so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really Nice, January 9, 2009

These boots are extremely warm and also really comfortable. One of the best parts is that when they are on they are really on and they do not come off during snow blowing or running around the yard with my son. But they also slip off really easily when you are done. I also really like the loops so I can hold them when I carry them around. In short, the boots are wonderful.

5.0 out of 5 stars For the larger foot and calves, June 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these boots specifically because the have the stretch neoprene tops. I wear between a 11.5 and a 12 EEE boot, these boots accommodate my foot perfectly. The rubber is supple and stretches slightly. I have 23" calves which was my area of concern. I wanted a boot that was not going to be very constrictive around my shin and calves. The boot stretches nicely over my leg, with a minimal amount of pressure on my calves. Overall the build quality appears to be top notch, the only thing that was worrisome is that the rubber part on the boot is very slick and would make for some difficulty removing the boot from you foot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent boots!, April 25, 2011

These boots fit true to size and appears to be very durable. I have worn them several days now, and I find them to be comfortable. I would have preferred a boot with a slightly thinner sole, but I'm sure I'll appreciate the thicker sole next winter.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far impressed, February 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have a large size 12.5 foot and the 12 is fitting with room to spare. The toes in this boot feel loose and most of the "grip" is coming from the top of my foot. They are comfortable to wear but I could potentially see a problem with the boot getting stuck in the mud and my foot not staying with it. Color and look is right on as listed. Lots of room in the calf to shove pants into. I do wish Bogs offered half sizes, I might go 1/2 smaller

5.0 out of 5 stars Das Boot, April 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Ordered these boots after the record snowfall in DC. They are fabulous! The boots are well constructed, evidenced by their weight! Moreover, they're very easy to slip on: no laces or velcro to manage. The boots keep out both wetness and cold. An excellent choice for seasonal wear or cold climate living.

2.0 out of 5 stars not a winter boot, January 19, 2012
Bogs are acceptably comfortable and reasonably warm if you do not expect too much, but they are not a winter boot. Their grip on ice is the worst of any winter boot I have ever owned. The sole of the boot is totally inadequate for use in any slippery conditions. Bogs are best suited for working in your garden in Spring or Fall or walking inside a mall in winter.
I now have to buy a real winter boot, the Bogs were an expensive mistake.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bogs Men's Classic Ultra Hi, January 7, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Was looking for a boot for my husband who is out in the woods and muck a lot and who had serious Lyme Disease last year. Wanted a boot he could tuck his pants in to protect him. These seem to fit well and will hopefully do the trick. They're a little hard for him to put on and take off, but he says they're comfortable.
