Best Snow / Rain Boots I've Ever Owned. Waterproof. Comfortable. Cute!,

This review is from: Bogs Women's Classic Hi Autumn II Boot (Apparel)
Experience with use:
I live in northern Japan where winters are harsh. The snow on the edges of my driveway is about 4ft deep, and even deeper in the drifts. I did a lot of research before buying them, because I needed something that would _work_. Quality/Description: These boots are, just as advertised, waterproof. I have stood in deep snow digging out my car and shoveling, and my feet and jeans stay dry. These are just about knee-high and the edges are made from a fabric that feels like a SCUBA wetsuit. Not only are they very practical, they are _very cute_ and I receive compliments on them wherever I go. I love the handles on the boots, which make them easy to take off and slip on, especially as we're always taking our shoes off here in restaurants and whatnot. Fit: My regular shoe size is a 7.5, and the pair I bought were 8s. With a thick pair of winter socks, which is what I'd expect to wear in boots anyway, they fit perfectly. I have worn them for hours on end, and they are very comfortable. Cons: Because the sides are stretchy, the only two minor things I don't like is that if I tuck in my straight-legged jeans, they look a little bulky under the boot fabric. However, with tapered-leg "skinny" jeans, this wouldn't be an issue. The back heel is made from the same material as the front of the boot - I wish the harder heel material came up a little higher - closer to the ankle. I have feeling if I wore _thinner_ socks, the heel could chafe and become annoying. Overall: Highly recommended. Considering buying another pair in a shorter boot for days that aren't as snowy. Out of all the winter boots I've owned, these stand up to snowy weather the best.

I bought these boots because my old boots were heavy and I was tired of tying and untying them. I walk my dog every day in a snowy area and wanted something light and easy to get on and off. Tried these Bogs and love them. They are comfortable, warm and stylish and I love being able to pull them on and off. Couldn't be happier!!

The greatest boots ever,

No matter what color or design you want, these bogs boots are the best ever. Warm, waterproof, and very comfortable--these will take me through many Winters and wet Spring and Falls. They are not wide and clunky, they conform to your foot and the leg length holds the boots on. My daughter bought these for me as a present, and I couldn't be happier.

Beware - VERY SLIPPERY on wet boardwalk, wood floors,

I tried to love my Bogs because everyone said how great they are. They are warm, they were OK comfy - but I returned mine due to extreme slipping on wet boardwalk and pergo type floors with any moisture on them.
I almost killed myself hiking a short way on wet boardwalk - and tried again when the boardwalk was dry but still had some fall algae build up and they were just as bad. Then I came home and hit a wet spot on our composite wood floor and the boots lost all traction once again and I had to save myself by grabbing counters. All in all, I give them an F because they advertise great traction in snow conditions. This does not equate to ice, or other slippery surfaces without snow or mud on top. I live in a rainforest, and our usual summer/fall conditions on trails is lots of wet boardwalk / planking. In the winter, we get more ice than snow due to the rain and then freezing temps after the rain has stopped. Bogs are not for these conditions and I'm a bit angry that they are advertising how well they grip. If you don't ever have ice, wet composite floors or wet planking to walk on, these might be your boots. However, beware if you do live in those conditions - the boots are the worst I've ever encountered as far as traction goes on these surfaces.

Great Beach Boots,
This review is from: Bogs Women's Classic Hi Autumn II Boot (Apparel)
I already loved these boots because they're comfortable, totally waterproof, and can be walked in for a good while without my feet hurting. Then I took them to the beach in Washington State to splash in COLD shallow water, and it wasn't look before I got a bootful of H2O by accident (2, actually).
I found that because they're neoprene they kept my feet warm even though they were full of water. I spent the rest of the day happily wading in thigh-deep, searching for sea stars and the like, because my wet feet were still happy and warm. I was wearing socks, but the next day I found that I could do the same without and it still worked like a little foot wetsuit. Yay Bogs!

I am a farmer/rancher and we have had a long wet spring. Good for crops and grass, hard on the people.... Why have I never had a pair of these before. I will never be without a pair again! Only down side, if you can call it a downside is they keep your feet extremely warm, but in the late spring when we needed to wear because of all the slush and water our feet were hot! I bought my husband a pair and he loves his too. Muck boots, no way, Bogs are the only boots for us!

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn.
I wear 8-1/2 and I was glad I purchased a size 9, as the 8's would have been to short. Really love the comfortable fit and how easy they are to slip on. Love the Autumn design, nice change from plain ole boots. Patricia - Palmer,Alaska

If you live on a farm and have to tromp through mud or snow, or other "gunk"- these boots are a must have! My feet, stay warm and dry. It's amazing! I have cold feet all the time, but these boots are fabulous for keeping my toes toasty! Another great plus, is that they are not heavy and bulky. I love that about them! These are the best kept secret for keeping your feet dry and warm! My 4 year old has a pair as well, and she also loves her Bogs! We'll never be without them!!
