It looked like I was allergic to any all-in-one solutions which were available on the market (at least for less than $10 per bottle/month). What to do! Then I came across the Ultrasonic Contact Lens Cleaner. Since I am not into gadgets at all, I hesitated. Little reliable information is available about the product on-line. The manufacturer's web-site is...to say the least, ambiguous, because of its use of English. Nevertheless, I purchased the cleaner.
The device is not bigger than the palm of my hand and very light. The adapter is rather bulky. The box also included a small bottle for purified water or saline solution and tweezers made of soft plastic. Everything is rather well designed. (People who traveled to China or any other Communist country, will know, however, what I mean when I'll write that the design has "this special something" to it. Also, the user guide is written in the most amusing rendition of English and I think it's worth spending the money just to get your paws on the guide itself).
Apart from these few particularities, the device is absolutely great. It's easier to use than it appears at first. You fill the stainless steel compartment with purified water (oh, yes!) or saline solution. You stick your lenses into the individual "baskets", put the whole thing together and press "clean" (2 min.) or "disinfect" (6 min. - once a week) button. The device makes a hissing noise for the allotted amount of time. I have no idea what happens inside...it does not say and I do not dare to open it! Anyhow, the lenses come out very clean and slightly warm (it is safe on most kinds of lenses, though). Using the tweezers, you put them in the saline solution in the lens case (not provided).

This product cleans my contact lenses just as well, if not better, as all of the chemical concoctions I used before its purchase. My lenses are clean in 2 minutes, and the only product I need is saline solution. One very minor drawback is that the lenses shouldn't be stored in it when not in use, so an extra lens case is needed. I think a $2 lens case is a small price to pay for not having to buy disinfectant and enzyme tablets anymore.

Verified Purchase
I recently got rigid gas permeable lenses after many years of wearing glasses. I wanted to be sure my contacts were clean but wasn't sure I was getting them clean enough using the cleaning solutions that were advised by my optometrist. I decided to give the Ultrasonic Contact Lens CLeaner a try and was very pleased. The saline doesn't get very warm at all while it's operating, like another reviewer indicated. I was even a little worried because it was so quiet during the cleaning cycle, but with my ear up next to it, I could hear a little hissing sound. Since the RGP lenses are somewhat smaller than regular contact lenses, they move about in the supplied container, but they do stay in place when the unit is closed. I still store my lenses in a conditioner after cleaning but I feel that the cleaning is superior to doing it by hand and also much quicker and safer.

This little gadget does a fair job of cleaning the protein build-up on lenses, but it also has a heating element that makes the cleansing solution extremely hot. The heat could possibly warp your (hard) lenses and change the perscription necessitating the need to buy a new pair of lenses.

I bought this as a replacement for a Lensoclean ultrasonic cleaner. I've been using it for about a month, and am pleased with its performance. I have gas permeable lenses, and heavy protein deposit tendency, and the cleaner has been effective at removing them daily. The "disinfection" cycle I have used several times and no adverse effects have been noticed. I have not had any problems with excessive heating of the solution--the normal cycle has no noticeable heating and the disinfection cycle raises the temperature a very slight amount (I can easily touch the inside right afterwards and it's only warm). All in all, a good product.

I have had two of these units. Both have stopped working. The first one I took apart, and saline had destroyed the electronics. The second stopped working a month ago, probably for the same reason. While they work, they clean my lenses and I can wear them comfortably for 12+ hours.

I have been a hard contact lense wearer for over 30 years and I've bought this product two weeks ago and it is doing a good job so far cleaning my hard contact lense. The solution does get a little warm after the 6 minutes deep cleaning cycle; however, I don't think it will warp the lense. Overall, I like this product and I will continue to use it.

This product is working great for me. I wear RGPs and my eyes are very sensitive to all types of chemicals and debris. I switched around different RGP materials and types of solutions and nothing really got my contacts clean AND didn't irritate my eyes.

Now I am using this lens cleaner, and then putting them in ClearCare (a hydrogen peroxide solution) afterwards. My lenses are comfortable all day, and the red-eye is gone.

I'm not sure why you have to take your lenses out of this thing and put them somewhere else; it would be easier just to leave them in this. Maybe it's hard to keep this clean if you leave them in overnight. However, I am very happy with this product.
